I visited the restaurant with high expectations due to its premium pricing, but unfortunately, I was deeply disappointed. The service was chaotic, and my order was served incorrectly twice. First, I received a dish I didn’t order at all – it contained mushrooms, even though I had clearly stated that I don’t like mushrooms. After complaining, I was brought what was presumably the dish I had actually ordered, but this also didn’t match the description on the menu. Instead of the promised combination of pine nuts, tagliatelle with spinach, tenderloin steak, and Parmesan, the dish included mushrooms again, as well as chili.
What made it worse was that the menu didn’t mention the dish would be spicy or contain chili. Since I cannot tolerate spicy food due to health reasons, this was a major issue for me.
Although the staff was friendly, they couldn’t resolve the situation satisfactorily. In the end, I had to pay the full price, even though my partner had already finished her meal by the time I finally received what was presumably the correct dish.
For a restaurant in this price range, this is completely unacceptable. Along with premium pricing, I expect careful attention to orders, accurate menu descriptions, and professional service. Sadly, none of these expectations were met. A real shame, as the ambiance is lovely, but the rest of the experience completely...
Read moreI visited a restaurant in Krakow around 10:30 pm, and the waiter greeted me warmly. I already knew I wanted the traditional soup served in bread. He brought the menu, and I planned to order a cava while waiting, followed by a glass of Polish rosé. However, the service was slow, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. The waiter only took my drink order when the food arrived.
I ordered the rosé first and the cava later. After finishing the soup, I asked for dessert, but the waiter didn’t check with the kitchen, even when I asked for something simple. While drinking the cava, I had more than enough time for dessert—even just ice cream—but instead, he brought the bill straight away and told me the kitchen was closed. I later noticed the restaurant’s closing time was 12 am, so I couldn’t understand the rush, especially since I only ordered a soup dish.
The soup itself was delicious, though there was a paper napkin under the bread bowl, which could have been a disaster with the hot liquid soaking through. While the food was great, the service felt unprofessional and inattentive. A more experienced and thoughtful waiter would have made the experience much better—and I would have gladly left a more...
Read moreWhat a nice place to eat. My wife and I had dinner here last night. Nice atmosphere outside under the heated tent with the rain falling, just great. Simon our waiter was great, a really friendly guy with a joke to make it a really friendly place. My wife had the fish and chips and I had the jalapeno burger, they both looked fantastic, very well presented and very tasty. More than enough condiments for our ample spread. We couldn't leave here with ya dessert, we both had the apple pie with cinnamon ice cream, it looked stunning and tasted as good as it looked. Lightly warmed apple pie with the cold of the ice cream is such a great combination, add a hot tea as we did and it brings it up another notch in my opinion. We always have tea with dessert, I highly recommend it. It definitely isn't the cheapest of places to eat in Krakow but it was well worth it, one of the best burgers I've had. Thanks to Simon and the chefs for such...
