Virtuoso — Restaurant in Krakow

Went to this establishment with my partner on a Saturday evening - the staff after failing to take an order for 25 minutes finally arrived and asked what we wanted; after asking what is their house wine (the only position on wine list) replied saying it’s Polish wine - needed more clarification as of what type of grape it is, is it dry etc. - something we never had a problem with in any other restaurants in Krakow - after placing the order, the starter which was prepared (we saw it coming our way and being snatched very quickly by the waitress serving us) was wrong - I asked the staff then to skip it and proceed with mains as both me and my partner were very hungry at that point (40 minutes in) - the mains were okay, nothing excessively good - the cutlery tho! HORRIBLE! it felt like holding a knife and fork in school cafeteria - not to mention the napkin which barely managed to cover one of my knees.

The started that hasn’t reached the table has also been consumed on the restaurant floor by our waitress - REALLY?

Music and atmosphere - horrid - staff kept playing their own music, Eminem and Rhianna isn’t something you want in an “Italian restaurant” - nor is some Russian/Ukrainian rap music which was very disturbing and felt more like it belonged in a very cheap gay club (im gay myself, I know what kind of kitch it was)

I expressed my disappointment to the staff member by the end of the visit, in Polish (as I’m Polish) he merely shook his head after which I thanked him and left the place.

Staff speaks very little of English which seems rather obvious if you’re going to a very spiritual location right in the middle of the main square. Worst experience in Krakow, avoid...

We went here for an "English" breakfast. I'm not sure how to describe it but it was definitely not English. Even the beans were in an Italian like sauce. Anyway, besides the food being terrible, the waitress was really rude to us. She wanted us all to sit on a wobbly table and chairs so we asked if we could sit on a different table.She had a problem with us as soon as we sat down at the table. We removed items from the breakfast (one of our party couldn't eat egg) and she wouldn't let us add anything extra. After we had eaten the food. (Frankfurter sausage, a scratty little piece of bacon, Italian style beans, egg that looked like I'd laid it, mushroom and tomato which was the only bit that was nice, lettuce and black pudding which I have never seen such a slimy mess of entrails in my life. The waitress made us feel really uncomfortable and really disliked us. When we asked for the bill, we wanted to split it three ways, she said , "no ! I can't do that, it has to be one payment as the bill has already been printed" we asked her to print another bill out of that was the only way we could split the bill. She then persisted to sigh and throw her hands in the air and said "it will take me 15 extra minutes to do this now, but never mind!!" That is when we asked her to remove the service charge. We then split the bill and left. Never to return. Ridiculously rude girl who should not be working in hospitality. She had a cat with wings tattoo on the back of her arm and she needs a lesson in...

Recently we dined at Virtuoso Restaurant at Krakow. i would not recommend at all this restaurant to others as they are cheater. Be careful if you are going there. Specially they are cheating to tourist. they did not issued official invoice as they only give just some print out which is not official receipt and also important without asking they add tip for there waitress by themselves and its compulsory you must pay. usually paying tip to waiter is customers wish, if customer happy they pay or may not pay its there wish. but here at this restaurant you must pay at the end of the bill they add on without asking. when i questioned waitress said wait i am calling manager you talk to him. after waiting 20 -30 minutes manager did not appeared, and we were with family and small kids group of 6 person just paid the full bill whatever they asked. and left the place with not happy mood. they spoiled our evening. i would not recommend this place to other tourist. also a note to official authority that they didn't even write their name, number, tax number nothing on the print paper because it's not a...
