I recently visited here and would like to share my experience. Overall, I’d give it 3 out of 5 stars. The food was somewhere between 3 and 4, the atmosphere was good (5/5), and the service was generally good (4/5). What we had there, Etli Ekmek: This was quite good – flavorful and enjoyable. Acılı Ezme: Unfortunately, this didn't suit my personal taste, and the presentation could have been better. Lavaşta Döner: The flavor was nice, though I wouldn’t rate it 5/5. The lavash was a bit tough to chew and the dish was slightly cold — perhaps because we arrived around 8 PM.( Hope so :/) Tabakta Döner: Similar to the previous one, we found the meat a bit dry and difficult to chew. Ayran: This was unfortunately a big disappointment. I could only take one sip and had to leave it. I also gave this feedback to the staff. As for the service, while most of the team was friendly and attentive, I initially had difficulty communicating with one of the staff ( she) members who appeared rather unfriendly and unapproachable. I kindly asked to be assisted by someone else, and from then on, the experience improved significantly. The other team members were very kind, open to feedback, and handled everything gracefully — including the comment about the ayran.( Thanks to then) One special thanks to the chef, who was very warm and welcoming. His positive attitude truly stood out.. The most serious issue, however, occurred a few hours after the meal. Both of us started experiencing intense stomach pain, very similar to food poisoning symptoms. Even as I write this review, we are still in discomfort. I sincerely hope this was a one-off situation
In summary, while there were some highlights — especially the atmosphere and certain dishes — there were also areas that could be improved. I'm not sure if I would return, but I appreciate the effort of the staff and the overall...
Read moreWe visited yesterday 7th March for lunch. First of all it was spotless. We were greeted by a friendly waitress/ owner who spoke several languages, including English. She was very polite when I tried out my smattering of Turkish! I ate a mixed meat kebab and kofte served on Turkish bread which was home made, very well spiced and delicious. My wife ordered a mixed meat Pide (Turkish pizza) which was three feet long and generously topped. Despite being full we went for a rice pudding, again home made, which was equally delicious. The prices were very good, the service excellent and both the owners and staff were very friendly and attentive. We are both fans of Turkish cuisine and this is the best we have ever had outside of Turkey probably because the Turkish chefs cook everything in front of you and do so with pride. The icing on the cake, for us, was that the Ayran was home made and really first class, the perfect pro-biotic and digestive. Chi also good. This will be our first port of call if we revisit Kraków...
Read moreI was visiting Krakow for work in April and was looking for a good restaurant where I could eat healthy food with good service. I came across this restaurant when I was walking with my coworker and walked into Polenez. As soon as we opened the door we were greeted with smiles and were given a seat at the table outdoors in the back of the restaurant, the friendly waitress came to our table and gave us a menu from which we could order from. The menu is rich with both traditional and well known Doners and we decided to eat Doners. The food was phenomenal, the meat inside the doner was very tender and well grilled and the vegetables inside was very fresh. Afterwards we ordered sweets with pistachios on top and ice cream on side and that completed our food experience with a memorable taste on our tongue. The price was so good that we decided to eat there almost every day. I am very happy with my experience, it overdelivers and the service is...
