Mazaya is my favorite chain in Kraków and comparing to other Mazayas, the one on Krupnicza is, by far, the worst. 90% of the reason is the service: from the moment I stepped in, nobody told me I should take the menu and order at the counter, although I made a reservation and was the only customer in the whole place. I waited for 10 minutes and then just took it by myself. Even though I was ordering at the counter and waiting for my order on the spot, the waitress was bringing it directly to my table, passing by my face - why not ask me if I want to take it by myself or why am I standing there? When I asked about a name of one cake that was there, the waitress started looking in her phone, searching for the answer, and after a minute of searching replied that she just doesn't know. There were like 4 cakes in total at that time, wow. The waitress also forgot to bring a part of my order and I had to go back to the counter to remind about it. When I ordered additional bread, it was miscalculated by the waitress and, clearly, she didn't know anything from the menu, even how the bread is served.
With that said, this is one of the worst service experiences in my life - nothing crazy in particular but the amount of these little things during one visit is just...
Read moreMazaya restaurant at Krupnicza is a spacious one, with Middle East vibe in design and music. Iike that they have deeper inside a cooler room where it is comfortable with a baby, as there is no AC inside, so it is very helpful for hot days. About the service, the girls are very nice and helpful. There is self- service, but when you order at the counter, they bring you food to the table. The food is very well presenting on the plate as you can see on the pictures. It is also very tasty. And very important that over the years, since they opened in the food truck till now, you can expect this taste and quality. I prefer there a Mazaya salad with a lot of parsley green, pomegranate and falafel. It is my favourite. Humus standard is also good. They have a very tasty Turkish style coffee made on the sand, for 17 zł, served i the very original way . The prices also are pleasant. What I don't like it is baklava, Middle East desert, which was hard, not soft, not with a lot of syrop. I miss that crisp outside and softness inside. This was huge disappointment. Also dishes itselves are damaged, broken sometimes....
Read moreWith a company of 8 people, we were looking for a delicious and atmospheric place in Krakow for dinner.
After passing by this restaurant, our choice fell on it. To be honest, I rarely go to vegetarian and vegan places, but most of our company decided to have dinner here.
After ordering and waiting for a while (the dishes were served quickly, despite the fact that there were 8 of us), I was shocked at how big the portion was! We were all surprised at the size of the dishes. Looking ahead, I will say that I did not eat everything and took it with me. One dish was enough for two full meals.
I want to note that this restaurant sells a lot of different goodies, starting from halva and ending with homemade twists. I would also like to note the prices here, they are very pleasant! I would even say, below the average on the market.
As a result, we had a delicious meal, and almost all of us took half of the dishes with us, as we could not eat everything at once.
Next time I'm in Krakow, I will definitely come here for lunch or dinner again. Delicious, inexpensive and very atmospheric! Sincere recommendation...
