Yummy India Foodies — Restaurant in Krakow

I stopped into Yummy India to check out their menu. I have had their food several times before and it has always been great. This time was no different. The new location of their food truck is great. The park is near to the down town square but far enough from the tourist spots so as to get more of a local feel. The food truck venue comes with a bar with reasonably priced beverages and a good selection of beer and wine for purchase. Other food truck vendors are there as well. As far as Yummy India Foodies goes, yes the food is very authentic and tasty. The food is made fresh to order so the only down side is that the secret is out so it may take a few minutes longer than expected if there is a crowd. I used this extra time to partake in a lovely IPA from the bar. Over all , I had a great experience and I recommend folks to try it for them selves. I for one...

We found Yummy India Foodies the first day we were in Krakow and returned almost daily during our four week stay. My favorite was the Chicken Tikka Masala (#91) but we were impressed with each dish we ordered (numbers 10, 11, 12, 13, and 91). Everyone who works there, especially the owner, is very friendly and patient with us as we don't speak Polish. We had plans to try a few different Indian restaurants since we were in Krakow for a longer period, but ended up returning to Yummy India Foodies again and again because their food hit the spot! 30 minute wait. When the food was finally cooked, there was a cooked black beetle in the rice. They refused to refund us the meal price.

Edit: Thanks for the reply. The beetle was COOKED and dead. In no way had the beetle fell into the food. It was not moving and was black, because it had been cooked in the rice. We did refuse a replacement, because not only did finding a beetle in her food make her feel a little ill, she wasnt going to trust...
