Salta Resto — Restaurant in Krakow

STEAK!! If you’re searching for a great place to eat with a great menu; Salta is your place. The atmosphere is very nice and the service was some of best I’ve experienced in Krakow. Their beef has a great flavor. I had the filet / tenderloin and it was cooked well - though a little over for me. For most, it will he perfect. This is my first time and I will be back!!

UPDATE!! Having been so impressed by their steak and service, I decided to return for lunch and their burger. And let me just say this: BEST BURGER in Krakow. It’s the meat and the bun!! The bun is subtle and does not take away from the meat as 99% of burgers do in Krakow. The fries were crispy and hot! Their dipping sauce; a nice departure from ketchup.

And as always; the service is GREAT!

This place is worth the trek no matter where you are in Krakow. Take a trip - you won’t be disappointed.

What can I say, Salta NEVER disappoints. I stand by my burger review that their burgers are the best in Kraków. They are true to a burger and are thankfully void of all the unnecessary adds that most restaurants in Poland tend to add to burgers. Salta’s buns are the perfect compliment to their fantastic beef. With a few minor changes; their burger would rival some of the best burgers in the United States and beyond.

And all of this is presented beautifully along with exceptional service. Truly, their service is EXCELLENT.

Get out and support this restaurant along with all others! Salta is a must go destination whether for a one time visit or repeatedly as I have and will continue to...

In terms of cleanliness, atmosphere, and staff politeness, this place is lovely.

However, when we arrived we were told that we could take a seat but we wouldn’t get food for 40 minutes as the kitchen was busy. That wasn’t an issue as we could drink and chat but looking around the restaurant they have 4 full tables so I am not really sure why they felt stretched when they weren’t even at full capacity yet.

Regardless, we ordered some drinks and our food to get the ball rolling. Whilst polite and friendly, the staff were rushing everything and seemed a little tense / stressed at points. The Buratta starter was ruined by lashings of balsamic vinegar and the steak was super fatty and not cooked how I ordered it (medium rare). The broccoli side however was delicious and it’s a shame I went to a steak restaurant raving more about the vegetables than I did the actual steak!

To top it off, I have a medical condition that sometimes requires a little more time to be taken in a toilet. This place only has one shared toiled for both men and women. Again, whilst clean and gorgeous, when there’s a queue of frustrated diners behind you that all need to use the bathroom, having one toilet is not ideal and I don’t think I have ever come across a restaurant that only has one of these facilities, there should at least be two.

Three stars as it was average but there is lots of potential for this place and I hope they develop...

During a nice walk on Sunday afternoon myself and my partner were passing by this place and tempted by the high rating on Google decided to try some food. At the beginning we said we have no reservation( the place was nearly empty, now I know why). The mean waitress made this face and this was the first red flag and we should just leave. Ok we got a table. Ordered food - dorada and well done steak. While waiting we discovered that the table is wobbling, instead of putting us at a different table a waitress decided to fix it by putting some piece of papers under the legs. We asked for a different one and her magisty let us! So good! After 35 mins of waiting the waitress brought us food.. looked ok. Turned out my steak was not well done but medium (more than half was red) so I said it to the mean waitress and she started to yell at me that this is well done but if I want they will put it again on the grill. Horrible, how is that even possible to offer for the steak to be put back on the bbq for some time. The good part was that my partner likes medium done so she ate the steak and I have had her meal. 240 pln wasted. Not recommend. Food bad.
