Where do I begin? I know that India has just lost a world cup final, but that performance sounded exemplary compared to the dross that was served up tonight.
Arrived at 7:45, didn't have our orders taken until 8:15, drinks didn't arrive until 8:30, and food came out in dribs and drabs 2 hours after arriving. Some of the party got rice, others got some form of curry that they didn't order, there were also some naans thrown around. Honestly, it was comical how bad the whole thing was. 2 and a half hours after we arrived some people were still without the food they ordered, and others were given food that they did not order and were offered no justification for why this was the case. At the end of it all, one of the servers came out with a big smirk on his face saying 'card or cash lads?'
The biggest daylight robbery since Istanbul in 2006 was that they managed to get 45% of the final bill off us. The staff didn't even care either. Pathetic service, dreadful decor, and an average, oil laden curry.
The only good thing about the meal was how comically bad it all was; at least we had some good laughs about it. I am incredulous as to how this place has a 4.8 star rate. God knows how bad the other curry houses are in Krakow, or how long suffering the fine people of the city are as to have a decent curry house...
Read morePoor. On a positive note, it arrived in good time. But other than that, all very disappointing. The 'garlic naan' that I ordered was not flavoured with garlic. It was so thin that it was hard and audibly snapped like a cracker. Not naan, and extortionate considering what it was. The paneer tikka masala was gross, tasting of raw spices like it came out of a jar. The paneer may even have been tofu, and not cheese, I think, because it didn't have any taste or creamy texture. The tarka dal tasted closest to how it should of the things I ordered, but was oily in the extreme, and therefore very off-putting. And it contained enormous, inedible pieces of ginger. There was a 40% off offer on Uber Eats, but the price still worked out about the same price as actual good Indian food would in London! In fact more expensive, because the containers were much smaller than they would be in the UK. Despite this, there was plenty of food left over, because it just wasn't worth persevering with eating it. Honestly a rip off, even with the discount (still more than 80 PLN...
Read moreEdit after restaurant reply: No, I haven’t done anything like this. I was your loyal customer until yesterday and that’s why I wanted to give you a chance to repair your mistake and I called you but you were calling me a liar straight away. After seeing pictures my husband sent on WhatsApp you admitted your mistake, but then you changed your mind again.
Asked for non spicy version of the dish (there’s an option of choosing a “mild”) because it was for my little girl + asked them for the same in the message in case they missed it and they still missed it. Ordered chilli PANEER dry and got a version with potato instead. Guy that works there said that that he can COME TO MY FLAT, take the wrong dishes and bring me new one. Why would I even give him the address? He called me a liar and said that they have cctv and they didn’t make a mistake 😂 They didn’t agree to refund it. Very poor service and all that about 50pln. Picture of “paneer” added in...
