We visited twice during our break in Krakow after hearing amazing things on tiktok and various other sources. The first time we visited was a Wednesday, and we had an amazing experience, and was potentially the best Italian we had ever been to. The only downside was being seated next to the toilet and having a very strong odour every time the toilet door was open, which was frequent. We could overlook this because of how nice the food was, and how quick and friendly the service was. On this experience alone, we would have happily given it 4/5 stars.
However, we returned on Saturday night after booking a table. We waited at the front for 5/10 minutes without any waiters or staff acknowledging us. Around 5 or so staff walked past in the meantime. This was not the greatest start. After getting seated, we immediately were shocked with how hot the restaurant was in comparison with our last visit, and we did not feel comfortable. We waited 10 mins for a waiter to come over, where we ordered our food and drink. I ordered a tagliatelle dish, and pointed on the menu to it and showed the waiter. My girlfriend ordered lasagna. A few moments later, the waiter came back to confirm which dish my girlfriend ordered, and she confirmed it was lasagna. The waiter then said 'ah yes, two times ' and laughed. We interpreted this as it took him 2 times to remember. It came to fruition that he took this to mean we both wanted lasagna. I understand that being English, I am very privileged to be in a position where a lot of people speak my native language, and certainly do not take that for granted. However, having both ordered very different meals, and after pointing on the menu and having the waiter acknowledge and recite the meal back to me, I was very disappointed to receive the wrong meal. It took 25 mins to receive our drinks after ordering them. I decided to cut my losses and eat the lasagna, only to find it was lukewarm. I think that it was served piping hot, but had been left on the service counter for long enough that it was no longer hot. Throughout our meal, the waiter did not come to ask if everything was okay, which we watched him do essentially every other table, and like our waitress from Wednesday did. It was disappointing. We wanted to order more drinks, but the waiter again did not pay us any attention, and many attempts to get his attention were not successful. We took this opportunity to observe the many other waitresses/waiters who were busy and always on the go, as compared to our waiter who seemed very slow in comparison, and did not seem to be quite so busy. The waiter collected our plates after 15 minutes, notwithstanding him visiting the table next to us 3 times and seeing we had finished. We had attempted to ask him for the bill when he collected the plates, but he grabbed the plates and walked off before we had a chance to do so. We got our card and wallet out in the hope this may indicate our wanting to pay, but again, we waited around 15 mins in the heat. We had put up with enough and were about to stand up and pay at the front, but at that moment the waiter returned with the cash machine. We note that the waitress from the last meal mentioned that tips were not included, and we should only leave one if we felt that the service was exceptional. This time, no such conversation was had, and we paid and left. We feel strongly that the waiter knew how we felt at the various mishaps.
I would not recommend this restaurant, as the difference between the two nights is more than just a variation between weekday and weekend, but a sheer unpredictability of whether you will have a great experience or an abysmal one. For Krakow, this is not a cheap restaurant, and we expected more than the service we received. It was a very uncomfortable, stressful and...
Read moreI was really looking forward to trying Mamma Mia on my visit to Krakow, however the whole experience was ruined by bad customer service. I had made a booking at the only time available and turned up 10 minutes early. There was a long queue outside but we went straight in as we had a booking. We were ignored at the door for some time before a waitress said she could not see our booking on the computer. Before saying anything else she shrugged and walked off. We remained stood there being ignored with our booking confirmation up on my phone. A male host then spoke to a bunch of people before we finally got his attention. He said it was "impossible" that we had a booking and that the email was for a waiting list only. He was immediately rude and was treating us as if we were being unreasonable. We were really shocked and confused because it was clear we had a booking and it said "confirmed" on the email from Google. We stood there a bit longer to see if they could arrange for us to get a table (we were a party of 2...) We were ignored again. I asked how long the wait would be for a walk-in instead and the host threw his arms in the air and said "how can you ask me this, can you see outside? I cannot tell you." He was practically ushering us out of the door. I wouldn't have really minded this and just accepted that it wasn't going to happen but he had just told another couple that the wait would be 15-20 minutes before we had asked the same question. We left the restaurant because we felt we weren't wanted. I managed to then find the official confirmation which was sent by Mamma Mia themselves which confirmed the booking. I couldn't find this in the restaurant because there was no cell service and only had a screenshot of the other confirmation from Google Reservations. We reluctantly went inside again to explain we did actually have a booking. The host was once again rude and said the computer doesn't show the booking so he can't seat us. If this restaurant cared about customer service they would have made an effort to seat us sooner, we didn't mind waiting. However since we had received an email confirmation we should have been some sort of priority. Even an apology would have gone a long way. We were treated very rudely and it was really embarrassing. We ended up going to RAMEN PEOPLE down the road and it was a lovely experience. I appreciate this is a busy restaurant and they don't need our service, but when you make a booking and are treated poorly it really leaves a sour taste. The restaurant was really busy and I know they are probably stressed and sick of the demand - but don't accept walk-ins when you are turning away people who have made an effort to book. We could have re-booked at a later time during our stay but due to how we were treated we avoided it to avoid being treated...
Read moreHello! I would like to introduce myself as a tourist that came to share the evening with my friend. Thank you for tasty Pizza and Aperol!
Additionally, I could not leave my small dog (4 kg) and confirmed with restaurant that it will be possible to take dog with me beforehand. Honestly, I expected better location for us (I booked place on Thursday and came on Saturday) we were sitting almost nearby exit, all guests and waiters were running across nearby, the result - dog was nervous about panic in this place. The wine wall was also behind us that caused additional traffic, messy atmosphere.
The waiter was very unpleasant when I asked for separate chair for the dog, despite the fact that I took all stuff with me (blanket for dog, own water etc.), they replied that it will not allow their access to wine wall (for what it is nearby guests?).
Then we decided to order pasta for each of us. I ordered pasta with seafood that was extra spicy despite the fact it was only “one pepper” in the menu, I could not eat it even. We asked waiter to confirm if there is possibility to: 1.prepare the same pasta but not so spicy; 2.change the pasta. The things we heard from waiter: 1.no products are available for this type of pasta anymore; 2.this is not “our” fault. So no compromise, lack of understanding from waiter/kitchen at all, it ruined my mood totally.
If Lady would mention that this is not possible to bring pets - I would simply not go to this place that day. Nobody even gave attention how my dog felt, we didn’t receive offer for water even. Usually pet friendly places offer such things for free.

For Food - 4 points, “spicy” is very Subjective point and you should accept the fact that someone would ask you for more even if the dish was prepared as per your “Recipe”.
For Service - 1 points, waiter was working fast, but with attitude was problem - not sure the reason. Waiter was very smiling with other guests and most probably he just simply did not like something in my company (friend, dog).
For Atmosphere - 3 points, wine wall as per mine opinion should not be located nearby guests, pets politics should be reviewed by appropriate professionals.
