It was good but ... Pluses: The location is idyllic, with it's cobble stone streets and easy to reach by car or taxi (or walking of course). We went in around 18:00, the place was totally empty so we could choose whatever table we wanted. The Ramen was very good, the sushi was good but not exceptional, your typical Sushi that you can get in many places. The restaurant it self is quite small but that is good, the interior is mainly black, which I like a lot. Minuses: The previously mentioned cobble stone street, though beautiful, is not easy to walk on (dangerous even) if you are physically impaired (like me) or if you wear high heals. The music was terrible, you go to a Japanese restaurant with high ratings, you don't expect to listen to pop music and Reggae-ton music (the latter was the worse), why not put on some Japanese music? Maybe the owner/workers were tired of it hearing it all day (we were there around 6 pm). The service was good and friendly, but, when someone gives you their wish list you should ask which food you want first (or should we have told her, no no, she should have asked) and not bring everything one after the other out, we were a few min. into our soup, out came the next dish ... few min. later the Sushi, apart from this :) all good. We do recommend and hope that if you do go that the music is more suitable and you don't get a table full of food making you feel you have to hurry up cause the rest of the food is getting cold or warmer (Sushi in the summer,...
Read moreI visited today with friends for ramen and sushi, and I must say the experience was far from what I expected based on reviews and ratings. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen, which initially appeared quite rich. However, my surprise turned into disappointment after the first spoonful. I have never had ramen so excessively fatty; the taste of fat overwhelmed the flavors of the toppings and broth. The pork belly in the ramen also had large fatty elements, making the entire dish overwhelmingly greasy. Hours later, I still have an unpleasant oily aftertaste.
We also tried the sushi set, and unfortunately, it was mediocre at best. While the ingredients were fresh and the presentation was pleasant, I can only describe it as average.
Now, onto the decor – the place seemed less tidy than expected, and the advertised live sushi cutting on a TV was obstructed by lamps, taking away from what was supposed to be a highlight.
I would like to point out an oddity regarding the suggested serving of spoons for Macha coffee with strawberry drizzle. Without them, it's challenging to mix the ingredients. Attempting to mix by tilting the glass after adding a quarter cup results in an oddly flavored cocktail due to the small amount of coffee and the large quantity of strawberry drizzle at the bottom. Unfortunately, I am disappointed with the overall experience. Despite spending nearly 400 zł, the price does not align...
Read moreJust absolutely perfect. So happy with my visit, amazing food, amazing service. The staff and management were just so so kind. First time visiting Poland and the staff were so welcoming and even sat down with us and took time out of their days to give us recommendations and write down places to visit. Was also given amazing food recommendations, which we took on, and I must say I was so so pleased. We were even invited to see behind the counter and see the blowtorch in use for some of the rolls, such a brilliant sight and so entertaining. Genuinely the kindest staff members, I believe it was the manager who sat with us and talked with us, the chef was amazing and it was so interesting seeing how everything was made with the live show of the sushi. Overall, I am beyond happy with my visit and I will also add that every recommendation that was given to us, was also absolutely amazing, so we have the staff of Sushi Show to thank for our lovely visit to Poland. I wish I could put my visit into more words because it really was incredible, would 100% visit again and think everyone wanting sushi or just good food in general, should visit. Thank you Sushi Show for making our Poland visit, a...
