Rainbow Apartments 1 — Hotel in Krakow

Stayed here with husband and friend. We were very happy. Great location in Jewish Quarter, about 15mins walk from Krakow Old Town. Lots of taxis, buses & trams available close by if you needed them. Comfy beds, clean bedding & no bad smells. No blinds on the Velux windows, but we went in spring so were awake when it got light anyway, or happy with an eye mask. Bathroom was clean, shower was nice and powerful with fab temperature range. Kitchenette was clean, with 4 of everything. Some tea bags, coffee & sugar was provided (though we took our own Yorkshire tea because, you know, its the best!). Good under counter size fridge, microwave & even a small washing machine. Wifi was good too, no issues there.

Apartment is on the top floor of a 4 storey block. No lift (this didnt effect us). There is a code to the block, then a code to the apartment & a code for each bedroom. Main entrance corridor smells like cigarettes, but not in our apartment, so no complaints there. Building is shared with residents, so could occasionally here a child shouting, but this is normal/expected for apartments.

Only teeny criticism is that it says that you will get sent access codes 72hrs before check in & we didnt, so i worried slightly that we wouldnt get them. I emailed & messaged on here & didnt hear anything. However, the day before i telephoned via WhatsApp & they answered immediately & said i would get Access Code text that evening (which i did & it was very clear). If itd have know it'd be 11/24hrs before, id have been happy, but was teeny concered as it said 72hrs.

As planned, we arrived to the apartment late at night. We realized soon that the bedsheets were dirty, with hair traces and unidentified stains. We called Mariuzs, our contact person from Rainbow Apartments. We explained the situation and asked him for a solution. He answered us that everything was ok and that the bedsheets were clean. He promised us that next morning we will have clean sheets available at the door. That night, we (the whole family) had to sleep together in just one bed (the only bed apparently clean). Next morning, there was a paper bag with... surprise! Another dirty bedsheet, without ironing, bad smelling and with a long black hair inside. Believe me, I took pictures. I called the guy again asking him ‘Is this a joke?’ He accused me of inventing things in order to avoid paying for the apartment. As if this was not enough, he accused my children of staining the sheet. He argued (i promise) that he had watched my kids doing that by his camera.Sorry?? So... is there a camera inside the apartment?? Really scary. What will be the next? An extracharge arguing that we smoked inside? On the internet, some users say that. Who knows... the guy called Mariusz asked me to change the review because everything happened in another different appartment that is not Rainbow Apartments but of course they are.
