Tociekawa- Specialty Coffee — Restaurant in Krakow

The staff seemed either exhausted or simply unprofessional - perhaps just inexperienced in providing service, as they’re all very young. I’ve always loved this place for its cheesecakes, which are truly amazing, and the café itself looks great. The coffee machine and setup, all nice. Their popularity is well-deserved. But popularity is never an excuse for poor service.

This is not the first time my simple request has been ignored. I always ask for my Americano with less water - nothing unusual or difficult, just not a full cup. Yet this time I was served a cup filled to the brim, almost spilling over. It felt almost intentional, as if they deliberately did the opposite of what I requested.

I returned to the bar politely and asked for it to be remade. The staff, however, reacted with visible irritation, throwing cups around in frustration. This was unprofessional. They did eventually prepare it again, but with obvious reluctance. When I tasted the coffee, it was almost cold - they had used barely warm water.

So what am I supposed to do? Accept a bad product and leave unhappy after paying full price? That’s not acceptable. Unfortunately, the coffee here continues to disappoint, not because of the machine or the quality of beans, but because of the attitude and lack of training of the bar staff.

I get the impression they are used to customers silently accepting whatever is handed to them. And while many people today avoid speaking up out of anxiety, I will not. I returned once again and demanded my coffee to be made properly, even if it meant the entire café and queue witnessed it. I refuse to accept poor service after paying my money.

Frankly, I believe I’m entitled not only to the coffee I ordered, but also to compensation (return of what I paid) for needing to go through this and lose my face in...

If the coffee wasn't so amazing, I wouldn't be able to give this place so many stars. But it is possibly the best tasting coffee I had in Krakow.

I would have liked to drink it there but it was very full. It's a very busy café, despite being quite far from tourist areas, so expect a lot of locals. Which is also a good sign.

The staff was okay. The guy working there was friendly and fast, but everyone else seemed either confused, slow, or just not interested in working. There was a long queue to order and some of the female employees were just sitting around with their friends chatting. (I understand people need breaks but it seemed strange to be taking up seats meant for customers when there are so few spaces). There was a long wait to order, and even after ordering, it took quite a while for my drink even though there weren't that many people at that point.

Nice decor and lots of coffee accessories to buy.

I ordered a cortado since I saw that I would have to take it away. The beans and roast are amazing, the flavour is excellent, and the consistency of the cortado was perfect! The milk was great. But it had no real skill in presentation.

I personally am not picky about latte art and find it's sometimes an excuse to claim it is good coffee at expensive prices when it isn't. So I would rather have a wonderful tasting coffee and no art over a bad coffee with fantastic latte art. But it was a little odd that a cafe of this calibre wouldn't do foam art. Perhaps the barista was rushing because of the number of orders and this isn't normal.

Either way, I felt the whole experience was slow yet rushed and a bit uncomfortable, but the coffee was amazing. The cakes also look really good too.

Good prices for superb coffee, and it's dog-friendly too! I do recommend it for the best...

This place is my 1st favorite coffee place in 2022. No doubt why this place is a most famous cafe in town!

Ice latte: good milk, good selected bean, so smooth and so nice marcepan flat white: it's blown my mind, I love this cup the most. It is sweet but not to sweet, definitely my winter coffee cup of all time now. Carrot cheese cake: cheese layer was so nice, fresh and sweet and the cake layer is complex and so interesting, eat this and sip a flat white above in the same time was so good moment.

There are more menus and more cakes! I recommend everyone to spend your morning in this place. Vibe is good, smell is good, they are using SONOS, I dunno but every cafe using SONOS always make a good taste coffee. haha, no doubt if I come back to krakow just for a cup of coffee. Hope you...
