Unfortunately, we had a really unpleasant experience. My father was simply trying to look at the wines when one of the younger staff members rudely told him he couldn’t pass. Then, the older lady started speaking to her in Polish, clearly making rude comments about him in front of us. It was very uncomfortable and disappointing, especially in such a touristic area — you’d expect a minimum level of kindness and respect toward visitors.

We used this Carrefour Express three or four times during our recent Christmas city break to Krakow in December 2024. We used it to purchase everyday essentials and some breakfast items during our stay. We bought bottled water, bread, yoghurt , toothpaste, and deodorant plus shower gel - so it had everything that we needed. The shop is open 24/7 except for fifteen minutes at midnight when it apparently closes for a short while.

The shop was clean and their staff were pleasant enough.

It was convenient as it was on our route to and from the old town and our accommodation.

Level 9 Google reviewer; 1,000 plus reviews with nearly 2 million views and over 12,000 photos with over 55 million views and still going strong 💪.

I don’t understand all of the negative reviews of this place. You’re not establishing a lifelong relationship. You’re most likely looking for cheaper alcohol and snacks for your hotel or hostel room. The women I encountered at the cash register rang me up efficiently and I got on my way. I saw some comments about not being able to make change for larger bills. First, that place is open 24 hours, so having tons of cash is not safe. Second, cards are the currency in most places now, so people need to adjust accordingly. I had trouble getting change at my 5-star hotel for a 100 PLN bill and a 20 PLN bill at a restaurant. If you want change,...
