Sphinx — Restaurant in Toruń

I ate here yesterday (torun ) and had an enjoyable meal , very tasty ,plate was large and I did intend returning to eat . However , when I came to pay the bill ,60plz , I decided to pay cash with a 100plz note , the manager of the restaurant took my cash but did not return with my 40pzl change. After 10 mins I had to ask a waitress where my change was , she explained that the manager was in the back and would return soon , after another 5-10 mins the manager returned to the floor but walked straight past me on 2 occasions until I stopped him and asked for my change, at which point he took the money from his pocket, laughed at me and returned it . Very poor scam tactics from the elder balding gentleman of the establishment. I loved the food but...

As an English speaking person, I was happy to be served by a waiter who spoke very good English, and was handed an English language menu. Despite being busy, he saw to me reasonably quickly. He also recommended I download the application for discounts. He said I needed a Polish number to register for the best offers, but I was still able to take advantage of a promotion despite that.

The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere. Homely and cosy would be how I'd describe it.

The food itself is great. I had an American steak medium-well and it was perfect.

I noticed vegetarian dishes on the menu, so that may appeal to...

פשוט בושה. הזמנו לאכול בשעה 13:50 ועכשיו 14:40 ועדיין לא הגיע. זוג שהגיע יחד איתנו כבר סיימו לאכול. רצינו להזמין סטייק עם עצם המלצר אמר 45 דקות עד שעה, אז ויתרנו. אילו היינו יודעים שגם האוכל שלנו יקח לו שעה להגיע, היינו מזמינים סטייק עם עצם. 😡😡😡😡😡😡 בשעה טובה האוכל הגיע אחרי תאריך 8.825 רק הרוטב הזה הגיע 55 דקות בקשתי סטייק מדיום והגיע וולדאן קשה ולצערי החזרתי הוא שאל אותי עם אני רוצה חדש אמרתי ממש לא כי לא מתאים לי להמתין עוד 55 דקות לסטייק שצריך לצאת תוך גג 20 דקות. ההמבורגר היה יבש כי יבשו אותו מעל המידה. התמנון היה בסדר גמור ונגטס טעים. חבל כי היינו בורוצ׳לב במסעדה והיה מצויין אז שמחנו שיש עוד מקום כזה כי הגענו במקרה למקום תוך כדי טיול בפולין. Chcieliśmy zamówić stek z kością, kelner powiedział, że za 45 minut do godziny, więc zrezygnowaliśmy. Gdybyśmy wiedzieli, że jedzenie również będzie czekać godzinę, zamówilibyśmy stek z kością. 😡😡😡😡😡😡 Jedzenie dotarło w odpowiednim czasie po Data 8.08.2025 Tylko ten sos dotarł po 55 minutach. Zamówiłem stek średnio wysmażony, a dostałem go mocno wysmażonego i niestety go zwróciłem. Zapytał, czy chcę nowego, ale powiedziałem, że absolutnie nie, bo nie lubię czekać kolejne 55 minut na stek, który powinien być gotowy w ciągu 20 minut. Burger był suchy, bo go przesuszyli. Ośmiornica była po prostu w porządku. Nugat był pyszny. Szkoda, bo byliśmy we Wrocławiu w tej restauracji i było wyśmienicie, więc cieszyliśmy się, że jest jeszcze jedno takie miejsce, bo trafiliśmy tam przypadkiem podczas...
