Do not go here. The staff is rude, the food is tasteless. First of all, we arrived and sat outside. The umbrella closed and hit my girlfriend on her head, no big deal. I had to reopen the umbrella myself. (The umbrella was about 10ft wide). It was getting a bit too cold so we decided to ask the waiter at the front to sit somewhere else. She said we cannot change tables! What is wrong with these people? You're starting to feel cold and all they can say is that we cannot change tables?! Do you even care about how comfortable customers are feeling? The waitress was rude! Then we had to wait for a new table. We then sat at our new table where our drinks were waiting. The chicken soup I ordered arrived. It was tasteless! Imagine drinking a diluted chicken stock with 2-3 pieces of finely diced carrots. I didn't even know what the noodles was because I never tasted it. One spoonful was enough. 10 minutes later, one of the servers arrived. I told them the food was tasteless and I'd like to send it back. She was also rude saying that I needed to pay for it. Imagine having to pay for something that was tasteless. Poor customer service. I said okay but cancel the rest of the items we ordered. I hope you cleaned the beer I left on the floor. Yes, that's for charging me for the tasteless, diluted chicken stock.

I heard really good things about this place and we saw there was almost always a long queue outside. one of my friends strongly recommended it to me and honestly, I was very excited to try it out when I visited Warsaw. my partner and I ordered a savory pancake each. hers was vegan and mine had pulled pork and cheese. I think it probably was the worst pulled pork dish I've ever tried, unfortunately, so I was quite disappointed. it looks much better than it tastes I'm afraid. the vegan pancake (spinach and broccoli pesto) was also disappointing. altogether there was a severe lack of flavour (even with the "spicy" tomato and cheese sauces). maybe the sweet pancakes are the good one? everything else was great, service was quick and friendly, price was reasonable, drinks were good. atmosphere was interesting and we even managed to waltz right in with no queue! unfortunately the most important thing for me was the taste and I can't say I would voluntarily eat what we ordered again.

Was blown away by how fast the service was! The place was really full when we entered on a typical summer late morning. The waitress was really kind and showed walked us through the seating options. The menu has a special breakfast selection which changes every alternate week. And the general menu. We went for the breakfast options. The frankfurters came with a crepe filled with mushrooms and ham with mustard sauce on the side. My girlfriend ordered a mozzarella filled crepe from the general menu which smelled amazing. The food was really fresh, exceptionally laid out and served with a beverage of your choice from the breakfast menu(which has reduced priced ones). It was a very pleasant experience. The place is 20 mins walk from the city centre/central station. The prices were more than reasonable. So if you are looking for a hearty breakfast to kickstart your day/travel in Warsaw, look no further! Highly recommend. Worth the hype.

Today I went out with my friend to show her Manekin, since I always loved this place. I was a regular customer, but surely not after today.

The restaurant right now feels like it is so popular that they don’t care anymore about how they treat people.

Me and my friends was shown a little table in the back next to the kitchen, coffee machines and so on, really crowded and loud, so I said to the waiter that we will wait for another table. She came back after a minute saying that there surely won’t be any table free for at least an hour, which was an obvious lie for everyone who knows how Manekin works: people are coming in and leaving every few minutes. Therefore, we left the table and waited next to the doors, I saw one person from the queue sitting next to one table, and another table paying the bill, so we waited for that one. The waiter from before, came to us and said ‘that this is a restaurant and you cannot freely choose where you want to sit, you sit where they tell for’. Obviously no actual restaurant works like this.

After 5 minutes waiting, another waiter came to us saying ‘oh girls, but you surely don’t think you can sit here, we have other customers here, I won’t give them that table in the back’. It was said with such a shameless manner. It really struck me. To be highlighted it was a normal table for 4 people, like any other there. We ended up sitting in the table for 8 people. The table that we ‘SURELY CANNOT SIT HERE’ was given to another 2 women.

The thing is, how can waiters treat two university students in such a bold way. As if we we do not deserve respect. I am totally disappointed. I always recommended this place, right now I surely will not and won’t ever visit this place again. I truly try to avoid writing negative reviews, but I believe this story needs...

A fantastic place to eat, no doubts. A group of 7 people gathered there, where they quickly switched to English when noticing we were from abroad. As opposed to other places I've been to where you could feel a real struggle to communicate, the waitress here was really really comfortable speaking in English with us and explaining everything we wanted to know about, so a true headsup to them (wish I knew her name to be more precise on my comment here). Menus were also fully translated and oh yeah...what a nice variety of things to taste. All the dishes I saw were fantastic and abundant, includes amazingly prepared crepes, and delicious soups on a bread bowl with various amazing recipes to taste (if you have never tasted one, you really should). Deserts were also something incredible to witness: abundant and delicious, with many varieties for the sweetest guys and for the not so sweet ones. Drinks were nice, and we all finished up having a wonderful time in a very cosy place. If I had to mention something bad, it's just the fact that, since it is such an amazing place, there was (and I suspect there normally is) a huge queue to get it...but totally worth waiting for. Also, the inside is quite crowded, but it has plenty of room so you never feel like stepping onto somebody else's table at all. Main course, a drink and a dessert for everyone (all of them delicious and which left us wanting to eat no more until the following day) for 52 zlotys per person. Wow, amazing for this time of the year, indeed. Totally recommended if you are in the center and want a very cosy atmosphere with delicious food and a perfect treatment for foreigners. Thanks, Manekin! I will visit you again...
