Matto - pizza e pasta — Restaurant in Warsaw

First time in my life l have walked out of a restaurant and it was a horrible experience.

The waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable but the restaurant was very understaffed. He had to run the whole floor, both inside and out.

We ordered the brusetta insalata and salad for entree, after waiting for 45 minutes the waiter put the salad on the table and said that they didn’t have the ingredients for the brusetta. The salad was limp and the lettuce was warm served in an hot bowl and the whole salad was floating in a mix of oil and water - inedible.

We had ordered two slices of pizza and a pasta for main, after another 30 minutes - two very dry pieces of stale, burnt focaccia arrived with slop on top - inedible again. We sat waiting for the pasta, it didn’t arrive. So we decided to leave which was hard, still paying the full bill.

A table of 8 came in after us and were feed before us.

Maybe it was a bad night - hopefully! Warsaw has so many fantastic Italian restaurants - this isn’t one of them.

Appalling sloppy cooking with sub-par ingredients showing very little passion or care for food.

A really lovely friendly overworked waiter, who was embarrassed and ashamed of the food. If l had a restaurant l would employ him in...

I had a very disappointing experience here. The staff needs to be far more professional, it honestly felt like they were not capable of handling customers properly. I waited 1.5 hours just for a simple pasta, which is unacceptable, and waste time. Stop acting that you can refund my time.

On top of that, the San Bernardo water they served was already opened and tasted like tap water. What bothered me even more was seeing that when they served other guests, their bottles were unopened. That raises serious questions about fairness and consistency.

Food itself was okay, nothing special, but the overall experience was frustrating. I would not come back here and cannot...

We waited for almost an hour for our order, and unfortunately this completely ruined our impression of the place, even though the food itself was quite decent. Normally, I don’t leave negative reviews, but in this case I feel it’s important to point out the issue.

The main problem is clearly the lack of staff — customers should not have to wait so long just to get their meals. After such a long delay, the only thing we wanted was to leave rather than stay and enjoy the food.

I hope the management pays attention to this and improves the service, because with faster and more attentive staff, this place could leave a much better...
