Pyzy, flaki gorące! — Restaurant in Warsaw

Whenever you come to Warsaw, either on purpose or by mistake, you have got to come and eat here! Cozy, simple place, with no fancy titles in the Menu or artificial smiles, but fantastic, home made style food. I was lucky to spot the place as was looking for one to try national flaki, whatever the description of the dish in Wiki - it tastes just top. The meat in the soup, the veggies, the spices - you have a perfect symphony of tastes and textures. For me it was not enough, thus i went for two more dumplings (pyzy) with beef - and that was beef with dumplings not the other way :) I big chunk of natural moderately spicy meat inside. The second day we ordered zurek and flatbread with mushrooms and green peppercorns. The flatbread didn't really taste like anything and is not vegan as it contains cheese, I wouldn't recommend it.

The zurek was good but i think i preferred the flaki much better. Portions were great and both the flaki and zurek soups came with some slices of bread.

The friendly staff spoke no English but there is an English menu available. Card payment is accepted and you will have to collect your food from the counter when it is ready.

We came here to try traditional polish foods kinda expecting it to be weird or even bad. We couldn't have been more wrong! Food was excellent and I actually have cravings for it now.

Dude behind the counter was excellent as well! Without his help our orders would propably have disappointed us, but he made the process easy and gave us tips what kind of toppings get along well with our desired food. He also suggested us to take some polish shots before the food and taking those made the experience whole.

I can't even understand how they managed to give us this much positive vibes and the bill was still reasonably cheap. I'll totally come back if I ever visit...
