The place worth visiting. And below I will explain why, but it might get a little bit boring with the details I willing to provide. And those details doesn't include food.
So day was interesting, started somewhere far. The weather was mysterious and little bit hard to predict. The clouds being gathering for thunderstorm, but never got enough strength to push out a single drop. So internally being feeling quite energized thanks to that. I got back to Waw sometime in the evening and time of reservation being already ticking seconds with a negative sign ahead. My friends already being on place. So the first thought when I come out of car was: "Should I get home and freshen up a bit or should I head directly there?" As gross as it might sound, I decided to head directly to the place. I was not feeling dirty, maybe just a little bit tired. But I had some doubts about type of cloth I've being wearing. It was casual and I was with my travel backpack. I was suspecting that this establishment has a requirement for cloth, or at least together with friends we agreed to put some official cloth on, while I didn't have time for that. Yet after weighting up all pross and cons and whenever it is worth, I decided to go there.
It took some time for me to find the place. I've being tracking my position with GPS, yet somehow come up from the wrong side of the building. So going around that building, in the courtyard there were stairs down. My spot was overlooking the place, and it is from that location I recognized the name of establishment I've been looking for. Then I head down the stairs. The pair of guests being heading to the first door on the right down stairs, so I stopped for a moment observing them. Door turned out to be closed, but over there, further down was a group of people and another enter.
After short conversation with a hostess and quick security check I entered the establishment. It was lightened up, but the most prominent color was red. All tables had a dim light, keeping place covered with some mystery.
I joined my friends. I was thirsty so located some drinks available on the table and make them gone, short after ordered my first drink. I decided to start that evening sour. While enjoying the drink I noticed that loud music being muzzled, and people appeared around. They were artistically dressed, so it got attention of the audience. Then music started to play louder and singer appeared. At that point of time I realized that sour is not so great and I would not want to continue with it, so next drink to order was to feel the heat from within. That drink was good, but I have realized that there was missing something, something special. I also realized that it is impossible to get that special ingredient without talking to the person who does those drinks. Dear reader, you might have been expecting me to tell more about what's being happening around. There were girls dancing in shorts or swimming suites until night. There were singers singing songs. There were acrobats showing cool tricks. But for me personally it was not so important, because somehow it happened that our table being served by outstanding waitress. It's not like I have fall in love from first glance, but for me on that evening it was more interesting to observe her. So I thought that if I previously was not able to find a drink for my mood on that evening I will ask her to bring me what she likes. So she did. It was literally on flame and very sweet. Turned out that I was missing that sweet taste to enjoy the evening.
It is an art to make a drink. And when drink is made specifically for a person, it has outstanding effect, capable of bringing emotions and feelings out.
So as summary I want to say that: Drinks are good. Food I haven't tasted, so don't know. Entertainment on high level.
So it is definitely worth visiting. Just keep in mind that how good is the evening depends greatly on you and your mood. So you might want to be sure to start with right drink and the...
Read moreLast Saturday, after a concert that brought us specifically to Warsaw, my friends and I decided to try Baila, a place recommended by a friend. Without a reservation, as the concert ended earlier than expected, we were fortunate to get what seemed to be the last available table. Although it wasn’t ideally located for viewing the stage, we were forewarned and agreed to it since the venue was fully booked.
From the moment we entered, the service was exceptional. The coat check lady greeted us with warmth and charm. The reception staff, including a notably polite man, went out of their way to assist us. Even the security personnel greeted us with smiles, adding to the welcoming atmosphere.
Despite the less-than-ideal table location, the evening was wonderful. Our waiter, Jacek, instantly won our hearts with his friendliness and smile, making it feel like a friend had joined us at our table, who just happened to be our waiter for the evening. He attentively looked after us throughout the evening until we left about half an hour before closing. He recommended great dishes and ensured our evening was enjoyable.
Although Baila is on the pricier side—with show charges around 200 PLN and high menu prices (a bottle of Chablis costs 90 euros)—the quality of service and overall experience justified the expense. Living in France, I find these prices quite high, but it was worth it for such a special evening.
We left deeply impressed by the professionalism of the staff. A special thanks to our waiter, Jacek. Remember to tip generously; they work hard while we...
Read moreFirst Impressions were good: beautiful lounge with great service.
My qualm with the place is the pricing. The prices are exorbitant. Its not a place for the average joe. Our biggest mistake was walking in cause the restaurant across the street was full 🤦♀️. A ticket is 100pln each, then they said minimum to be spent is 300pln. This must have been lost in translation cause it turned out to be 300pln per person(if only someone had saved our time by saying the group minimum). So basically 400pln pp.
The menu is short, very limited offering for crazy prices. The safest option is salmon or sushi. The only burger on the menu is vegetarian. Appetizers are nothing to write home about. The drinks are another overpriced item. I would have loved a gin and tonic, but from looking at the menu that probably costs over 50pln🤷♀️. The cheapest cocktail was 44pln, they are good though.
Someone said its like a wedding, and I kind of agree. Its great for a celebratory type of hang out. I can't imagine going there every weekend cause its like paying for a comfy seat in a beautiful lounge. The show is good but not enthralling enough for regular visits. I can imagine it being a one time experience for most and the rest return for the hustle free comfort of the club experience at the end.
Overall for 400pln+ I would rather go to a Michelin star restaurant in Warsaw, the show would...
