Restauracja Belvedere — Restaurant in Warsaw

Not the first but definitely the last time

It is awful to see how this restaurant has been changed in few months. They even do not anwser on emails any longer, unless you ask them few times to confirm the reservation. What happened there, was even worse.

When we just took a seat, every 20 seconds there was someone coming to ask what do we want to order but then after order they never bothered themselves to come to our table, even for pulling the water in our glasses or for taking an order for the main course. We had to pay 22 PLN for the bottle of water, which we never saw, then we had to pay 210 PLN for a lobster which we never got. On the menu they write different type of seefood (for example lobsters instead of oysters), and while ordering they confirmed that it is a warm starter, while in a reality there was nothing warm. When we said that, the waiter was veryyyyyy rude by telling that he doesn't understand what is our problem.

If it was a proper restaurant on a proper high level, they would never make the guest to pay for food and drinks which they did not get or they would at least show some attitude by seeing that the customers are being unsatisfied. What they did, just bring the bill fast to show that they don't care that you will never be back there again. Well, who lose in this case? We lose just once around 100 EUR, but they lose forever, as if before I was advertiseng their restaurant, now I will do...

My wife and I were guests at the Easter Brunch April 9,2023. We have made a prepaid reservation for two from New Orleans, Louisiana hoping for the terrific experience as the website was advertising. Sadly to say it did not live-up to expectation. We were sieated in the far conner of the restaurant miles a way from the food buffet. It was extremely hot in the place and I had to request windows to be opened. We had to wait way to long for the waited to attend us with beverage. During the luncheon waiter was unattentive, seemed aggravated and scarily coming to refill beverage. We could hardly hear the piano that was placed in the main dining area. Food was lacking in some aspects. There should have been another choice for the soup, and possibly prime rib as a second choice to roasted ham. We also had to call the waiter for coffee. It was a quite rain when we were departing and no one have offered an umbrella to the parking. The walkway to the parking was filled with water puddles and turning in to mud. Will not be back.

Such a beautiful place! We were freezing after our walk in the park and we wanted to quickly find someplace warm where we could rest and eat something. Our guide from a previous excursion talked about this place in a very positive way and we decided to try it. It’s an amazing restaurant. The decoration is so special, with all these hidden nooks and crannies, surrounded by beautiful huge plants, that give you privacy but also a cosy and protective feeling. The Christmas decorations still on were also top notch. Our food was delicious. We asked for the mushroom soup and the Polish dumplings with truffle sauce and everything was delicious, and the portions were rather generous. Also, they had real fresh orange juice, which was a plus. Extremely polite and professional staff. Not a bargain lunch, but definitely a special one, in an incredible setting and one to repeat later one...
