UPD. So I decided to give this place one more chance, and decided that we’ll, sushi is till good, so I will order it for the New Year. And you know what? Look at the photo below? What is missing? Ginger and vasabi is missing. I opened it at home and it was just not there! I’m done with this place, honestly this was the final straw. If that was anormalne day, I wouldn’t be that mad, but in New Year’s Eve I have no chance to buy anything. So Thank you so much!
I have ordered from this place and eaten here for couple of times and was very satisfied with the service and the food. But this time it’s a disaster. Empty restaurant. Our table and 4 more people in the place. The food wasn’t ready in a HOUR! This is the worst service I have ever experienced in Warsaw. And when it was brought it was a wrong order. 2 or 3 rolls were not the once we ordered. This is epic fail. This is the last time I was here.
I added a start because the food is still really good,...
Read moreAs a regular at Sakana I must say that this one has the worst service. Today we chose to sit at the table instead of "bar" and ordering directly from the chefs and this was the main mistake. Waiter forgot the half of our order, even though ww have reminded 3 times about sashimi it took one hour for him to bring them, however, he brought a wrong dish - sone kind of grilled sashimi. Not to mention it took 30 minutes to bring tea and 50 to bring a glass of lemonade. At least we had a portion of futomaki to eat, yet we didn’t “deserve” to have ginger and wasabi until we’ve asked for them (and they were brought after we finished eating). We wanted to leave, but we also had to wait for the bill for like 20 minutes, so we decided to go to the cashier ourselves. I would understand the poor service quality if the restaurant was full, but it wasn’t… Well, the little amount of food we had was okay I guess, so one star. Definitely not recommending...
Read moreOne word for this place: pretense. Designed inside to appeal to the most pretentious of palates, fitted with a floating sushi bar, I should've anticipated that what would have followed was going to be the worst sushi I had yet to taste in this world, or at the very least not as an authentic experience as purported, when we were greeted by an Eastern European maestro. Our order consisted of fried baby squid, misos and the Rock and Roll/Maki Lover (they're indistinguishable) set which featured excessively generous portions of cream cheese (not advertised on the untranslated Polish-written menu) at the expense of the avocado, dried and translucent as it was so thinly cut, the sum of the unconvincing parts, satiating but wholly unsatisfying. Not an excessive expense conversion considered but as one of the more expensive experiences in Warsaw it borders on the scandalous. The service offered by a welcoming Polish waitress is its only redeeming...
