Read moreI used to visit Czajownia regularly before I moved out of Wroclaw about 2-3 years ago. Back then, I remember their shisha being the best in the city - unmatched by any other place. However, my recent visit was quite disappointing. The wait time for the shisha was incredibly long, we waited over an hour. I recall that on my last visit, the wait was only about 15-20 minutes. The flavor was very mild, and after just 20 minutes of smoking with one other person, there was hardly any taste left. When we lifted the coals, we discovered that the bowl was only half-filled. Of course, I checked to see if the tobacco had stuck to the coals holder, but there was nothing—just a minimal amount of tobacco. Have they started cutting corners? But the worst part was that we waited longer for the tea than for the shisha. Although we were informed that the wait time would be about 40-45 minutes, it ended up being much longer. How does brewing tea in a teahouse take more time than getting a full meal in a restaurant? I wonder what happened over the past few years - where is the Czajownia I remember? For now, I have to give this place 1 out of 5 stars. It was, unfortunately, a terrible experience - wasted time and disappointment. But I plan to return, and maybe then I'll be able to change my rating to...

There's so many teas to try but I fear we perhaps made the wrong choices, nevertheless everything in life is worth trying once and I'm sure there's more on the menu that would be up our street. The yerba mate has a very distinctive, strong and bitter taste - too much for our personal preference. I ordered from the green tea list but it was quite red in colour and had a nutty flavour. I love green tea so perhaps there's room to try that in future.
But the real gift of this place is the garden, it's very very peaceful and a pleasant way to spend some time away...
