Hope | Tapas Roof top — Restaurant in Albufeira

I ended up on this restaurant after our hotel informed us that their meals would be served here and not on the hotel, unfortunately the hotel did not inform the restaurant that we were vegetarian.

Fortunately though for us, the restaurant staff were really nice and always went the extra mile to make us feel special and welcomed, preparing for us the most amazing vegetarian meals even when they where not expecting this, if I could give more stars I would, not the we deserve any special treatment for being vegetarian but I’m sure they make everyone feel special here, as I clearly noticed that every single client was happy.

Regarding the dishes, the chef was so attentive to our diet and made sure that our special requests were tended, when the food that he so carefully prepared for us arrive we could only feel amazed as it was really superb, kudos to the chef...

Nice decor, that’s it. Over priced! Wine everywhere else 6-8 Euros cheaper for the same wine. The tapas? 13 Euros for a tiny dish of what they call rabbit. Not only the worst tasting, but nothing comes with the rabbit…nothing. My wife ordered their cod….no self respecting Portuguese would allow that to be served. It’s like a cow patty taken right out of the field, No service, Being honest once we got up to find our waiter to pay as he never came to check on us otherwise, told him of our displeasure and he started yelling at us. There were only 6 people in the whole...

12 of us dined at Hope Tapas and Lounge . The night was a great success . Cheese board and meat boards first and they were terrific . We also had Cuttlefish , prawns , duck and pork chops which really were delicious . The best of all was the gouda with onion chutney . A great choice of gins . We tasted several bottles of wine which were OK but not spectacular . There was a guitar singer on all evening who was very good and also approachable . I highly recommend an evening at Hope Tapas...
