We booked a table for 6 here for new Year's Eve 2024 thinking it always looks busy, food looks good, location is perfect for celebrations and a 9.30pm booking is perfect. We paid a €25 per head deposit and were looking forward to an enjoyable evening. Wow weren't we wrong. To start, there was absolutely nothing coordinated about the table allocation. The poor staff member on the door, doing his best was being slowly surrounded and bombarded by hoards of hungry people. We arrived a little early (before the crowd) and we were seated by 9.40 so he did well to manage a difficult situation! Sitting at our table for approximately 10 minutes we were invited to place a drinks order. No glasses of wine only bottles available and a couple of cans of minerals. These arrived promptly but the wine was glorified dish water. 35 minutes later, seeing people's food begin to arrive at their tables we realised that we were going to be severely let down. We hadn't yet been asked for our food order which was in itself an issue. How were people receiving starters and mains and we still hadn't managed to order, despite attempts to garner the attention of a number of staff members. We were acutely aware that it was busy and were patient but this was an uncoordinated mess. Looking around it was abundantly clear that many people were in a similar situation to ourselves. What was also becoming extremely obvious was the standard of food was abysmal. Chicken wings at €12.50 a portion arrived at a table beside us. 6 wings that looked like they sat in an oven for 6 weeks. At that price I'd expect at least 6 freshly cooked wings! A number of people began having their steaks delivered to their tables and immediately having to return them as they weren't cooked correctly or were actually cold. This is where things took a really nasty turn. My wife decided to make her way to speak with the manager. Whilst on her way, the manager ran past her with a plate of food to the open kitchen at the back and began roaring and gesturing extremely aggressively to the kitchen staff whom were obviously overwhelmed and understaffed. When he finished his second explosion at them she managed to get his attention. She explained that we were 45 minutes waiting to place a order for food to be told she was the only one with an issue and what did she expect. She explained that it wasn't very reassuring to see the poor quantity and quality of food coming out and that we were not the only ones with an issue if he was roaring at the kitchen staff! He began roaring in my wife's face that the whole night had been running smoothly and working fine and that she was the only one with an issue and she should know it was going to be busy. What a way to behave. Immediately another lady highlighted that she also had an issue and that many others seemed to be having the same problem (there were at least 4/5 others standing at the bar with issues). My wife stated she wanted a refund of our deposit and was again roared at again. The poor apologetic gentleman behind the bar immediately issued a refund of the deposit and we left along with at least 12 others and with many others still waiting to order now seeing that there were others extremely unhappy. Although we never managed to get any food ourselves what I can say is that the garlic bread with cheese and chicken wings were nasty looking and extremely overpriced but not quite as nasty as the manager who sees fit to roar at people because the systems he has in place are failing miserably. He should be utterly ashamed of his actions and would be best off in a position whereby he's not dealing with people in any capacity (staff or customers). Absolutely...

Let me tell you, this family-run steakhouse knocked it out of the park for our big golfing group outing! We were a sizeable crew, but they effortlessly accommodated us with a fantastic table that felt private enough for conversation, but still allowed the celebratory vibe to flow. It was clear from the moment we walked in that this place is all about making you feel comfortable and welcome.

The service was absolutely top-notch. Our waitress & waiter handled our large group with impressive efficiency and a smile. They were incredibly knowledgeable about the menu's cuts of meat and cooking styles, making fantastic recommendations for everyone. The barman was just as stellar, keeping our drinks flowing throughout the night without a single hiccup. You could really tell this is a family-run establishment – the staff takes genuine pride in creating a great dining experience.

Now, onto the main event: the steaks! Every single golfer in our group raved about their meal. The meat was cooked to absolute perfection, juicy and flavourful with a beautiful sear. The sides were delicious too – perfectly portioned and a great complement to the star of the show. Honestly, it was some of the best steak I've had in a long time.

This place is a true gem. If you're looking for an amazing steak dinner with fantastic service for a large group, this restaurant is the perfect spot. They can handle a crowd with ease, and the atmosphere is perfect for celebrating a win (or commiserating a loss!) on the course. We'll definitely be back for another round of delicious food and great...

Just had a visit to old town with my wife and we realised we hadn't had a burgeer or peri-peri while on algarve so we spotted this place and decided to give it ago.

Unfortunately I didn't catch the servers name but I think he was potentially the manager, he (and the other people) we spoke to here were all very polite, professional and really nice!

The food was also really nice too, I was with my wife who is pregnant and the server clearly noticed and when she ordered the burger he double checked presuming she would want it well done, nice touch!

Unlike most other restaurants around the area - there was nobody standing outside trying to persuade you to go and eat there which we really like Take note nearby businesses - it might bring a few people in but I would hazard a guess it turns away more than it brings in.

We had the lunch deal, had some fresh bread (which was very nice) wirh some garlic butter, crab slaw and an olive pate, all great and some spare ribs to share for starter, which once again was also very nice!

The location is perfect, its very nice clean and tidy and there is very calm and relaxing music being played.

Toilets are very clean too! Just beware the lights in the toilets are sensors so unless you wee quickly you'll be finishing off in the dark 😆
