During a recent visit we sampled a small range of their offerings, including guacamole with nachos, pork carnitas, and a taco de pulpo.

The guacamole, while fresh and creamy, lacked depth — notably missing garlic, which could have elevated its flavor. The accompanying nachos were visibly store-bought, as we could see them being poured from a bag from our table. While the combination was pleasant and satisfying, it lacked the punch and authenticity expected from a freshly prepared appetizer.

The pork carnitas were a letdown. Although the meat was tender and the dish was attractively plated, it was under-seasoned overall. A flavorful drizzle on top added some interest, but it wasn’t enough to carry the dish. A bolder use of spices or a marinade could have greatly improved it.

On a much more positive note, the taco de pulpo (octopus taco) stood out as the clear highlight. Perfectly cooked and well-seasoned, it struck a strong balance of flavor and texture. This dish demonstrated the kitchen’s potential when everything comes together.

The staff, whilst attentive, interrupted conversations constantly with the need to clear the table.

The dog was welcomed although we were sat away from the buzz of the dining room in a less desirable table. Overall, the meal had highs and lows. While some elements felt like shortcuts were taken, the standout taco de pulpo showed real culinary promise. A bit more attention to seasoning and authenticity across the menu would...

I'm from Texas & I love tacos. I could eat tacos everyday. And these tacos definitely hit the spot! My favorite are the lubina (robalo [fish] tacos)!!! But it only comes with 2. However, a filet grilled comes on top and I think they are the best fish tacos ever!

The shrimp tacos were amazing! Big prawns that were battered. The chicken tacos were a bit salty but still good! The guac was heavy on the avocado 🥑 & a bit bland but I prefer bland to salty! Definitely will be back! I felt like the food was more like tex-mex than authentic Mexican. But what do I know? I'm from Texas 😂 3 tacos per order (we ordered 2 sets + guac + chips = 22€) The packaging and logo are SO cute! The strawberry 🍓 margarita is the BOMB. With cups lined with salt & paprika! Just the right kick. My favorite margarita place...

For a fresh seafood lunch, I decided to try a Mexican restaurant that offered this option. The place is very well-maintained, with a great themed atmosphere.

The staff was incredibly quick, friendly, and smiling—they were all excellent. If I lived in Aveiro, I would definitely return.

In addition to Mexican cuisine, they also make cocktails, and mine was truly excellent. I would return just to have it again. The bartender was really gifted.

My octopus tacos were certainly fresh and everything was good. There was just one downside, which is why I wouldn't order this taco again next time—the octopus was overly masked by the other ingredients. However, this doesn't change my overall assessment of the place, which I think is excellent. I would probably really enjoy the...

We come here searching for gluten free local, and Un poco loco have all the meal gluten free, excepts for a couple of dessert. The staff is super friendly: we come without reservation when the local is full, and they invited us to stay in the bar for ordering drinks and an appetizer while we had waiting for the table. We order Piña Colada and Paloma, both delicious, and take Guacamole y totopos (in the photo). We like it so much that we ordered also Tacos de carne Assada and Churros: we also love it!
