Ristorante San Marco — Restaurant in Aveiro

Me and my (Italian) wife saw this restaurant on the page of an influencer and decided to give it a try, also to see if it's really as Italian as they say it is. The restaurant is really well located, and you would think that because of the central location it would be overpriced, but it turned out to be not true. The staff was very professional and friendly, providing excellent service. Now to what matters the most, the food. I ordered the Pasta alla Forma and my wife had the Gnocchi ai 4 Formaggi. The gnocchi were really tasty, soft and the cheese tasted really good. We shared the dish and were left satisfied. As for what was supposed to be the star of the show, the pasta, we, personally, weren't too impressed. Not to say that it was badly done or tasted terrible, no, but it just did not meet our personal expectations and taste. I'm glad I tried it but it's not something I'd be ordering again. The portions were very good but the dishes were also heavy, so we finished everything with a bit of difficulty. We finished the meal with a Tiramisu, which was really soft and melted on the tongue. The waiter knocked over an open a bottle of wine that spilled out onto the poo, the table and one of us. He apologised but did not replace the bottle, offered nothing in compensation. The pasta with prawns was a horror and a disgrace, the prawns were ruined, we returned the dish to the kitchen, it was thankfully removed from the bill. The porcini mushroom homemade pasta is made with Parmalat congumelos cream and contains three soaked mushrooms, not sure they're porcini. The olive oil pasta was good, but it's hard to mess up. We were billed with a full bottle of wine, without bothering to do anything about the situation. After a direct question as to whether they considered spilt wine to be a fault, they gave us a discount of 3 euros and brought out three shots of chemically disgusting limoncello. Its not first time eating here Service is good nice place and promising dishes. So now Im ready to give my opinion of the food! Overall everything that is served is too cheesy too creamy an suffer from taste. If order something with Gorgonzola cheese I expect to get the sting of a intense gorgonzola taste but they using not matured and tasteless gorgonzola so the dish will be very heavy and tasteless. When asking for extra garlic because I want heavy garlic taste they give garlic oil so its gets oily with minimum taste everything I have eaten missing taste just get very oily and oil cheesy and creamy where is the spices the acid the salt sorry but its a ok place could be...
