Never has a place had such a negative impact on my travels. Walked in looking to have “something small to eat” and a small generally €1 beer. I asked about the filling of an empanada looking pie. Rather than a response about the pie I was told “ I will take care if you” while it was said with a hospitable tone it should have been said like a robber says to their victim in a dark alley. A small plate of cheese and jam came out along with some bread and olive oil a beer and a glass of wine. €23 later I just paid more money for being “taken care of” for a snack than a 3 course plate of the day for two was in Porto. This is an intentional ploy by the owner to get as much money as she can from her few customers that are ensnared by her well located fly trap. Don’t fall victim.... there is a wonderful woman serving similar food, great warm attitude, and straight forward reasonable pricing on the other side of the raised bridge going over the canal called......
