We visited around midday and the food was excellent overall – only one of the rolls in the combo wasn’t to our taste. However, I wanted to point out something that left a negative impression: we noticed that the hostess at the reception was offering a complimentary glass of wine to most guests as a welcome gesture.

My husband and I are relaxed people and currently on vacation, so we were quite surprised that we were not offered the same, especially when it seemed that everyone else around us was. I don’t know if it was because of how we were dressed or just a biased attitude, but it came across as quite classist.

We’ve dined at some of the best sushi restaurants and for us, this kind of gesture is not a luxury – it’s about feeling welcomed and respected as a guest. We don’t believe we should have to look a certain way to be treated equally. Experiences like this leave a bad taste, no matter how...

We chose tgis restaurant solely on it ratings. Having the highest rating in town for a sushi restaurant was to us an indication that everything would be perfect. The atmosphere is great, especially with all saltwater aquariums in display. Bit that is were the "great" turns into "just average good" . I get the whole high tech, enviro-friendly approach with digital menus and services but some people still like a paper menu. The food was some good and some great but all in tiny portions at rather expensive prices. Half our order didn't arrive, we had to reorder it. Restaurant gave us a complementary pickle salad for the mess up. This restaurant, although good, it's not deserving of a 4.7 just based on service and food portion/price ratio. Spicy miso soup , sushis and roast beef kimshi sandwich were really good. Lavender bread and tempura veggies...

Subenshi Sushi proved to be an extraordinary choice for my special occasion. The staff's polite and attentive nature contributed to the overall welcoming ambiance. Their efficient service ensured we had a seamless experience.

But it was the food that stole the show! The presentation was captivating, and each dish resembled a work of art. The array of flavors showcased the chef's brilliance, blending traditional and innovative tastes harmoniously. From sushi rolls to sashimi, every bite was a delightful burst of freshness and creativity.

Subenshi Sushi offers an unforgettable journey through Japanese cuisine. I highly recommend it to everyone seeking a remarkable dining experience in Aveiro. I can't wait to return and relish their exceptional...

WASABI, JENJIBRE, SOJA Y SALSA AGRIDULCE. Moito obrigado.
