Atmosphere: A cute little restaurant hidden the middle of historic district in Braga.

Service: We made a reservation via thefork at 12:30pm. The restaurant opened a few minutes later than the schedule. The front of the house person seemed to be very knowledgeable about the menu and able to explain everything we needed to know, which is a good thing. The food came on a slower paste that we’d like. We were hoping at the entradas would come at the same time, instead it came one by one, with a few minutes of waiting in between dishes

Food: Cogumelos Bulhão Pato was executed well with great flavor. We loved it Vegetables Tempura has great batter, but wasn’t seasoned well. It did not come with tempura dipping sauce, instead, it came with bland mayonnaise. Personally, I think the carrots were a bit undercooked for tempura. Arancini was underwhelming. It lacks of seasoning and salty element. They were also a bit dry. I wish it has some kind of sauce to make it better. Fried Filet Octopus were great. It was seasoned very well. However; the wet rice/beans combination was bland. It’s just not a good combination.

A gem! What a lovely serendipitous discovery on our one and only night in Braga. Down a narrow back street, away from the bustle of the squares, this lovely restaurant awaits you, offering a cool, calm, friendly welcome. We opted for a couple of sharing ‘little plates’, all of which were delicious, followed by a shared dessert (the chocolate mousse) which was divine. The cold refreshing bottle of vinho verde went down a treat too, especially as the temperature had been 42C that day! The owner is charming and attentive, the chef clearly skilled. Lovely place and host! Excellent Portuguese (but not only) food with a twist. Starters are unforgettable - don't miss the pataniscas! - and so is all the menu, including delicious deserts. This place brings you happiness :) the service is superb, with attention to all requests. It is perfect for a dinner with a date or a group of friends. Super cosy on winter and happily vibrant on spring/summer with esplanade tables. As if all of this wasn't enough, music is always served with big dose of good taste....
