Apparently they don't treat their clients the same way. So if you went there with a voucher or a special offer, you won't get the same quality as the other customers. For a start, the bread was old and dry. The wine glasses were simple glasses that you normally find when you arrived to the table, but when the wine arrived it was served with the same glasses, at the same time all the other tables had their wine with the same fancy different type of glasses. The "entrad" was beautiful and the flavor was ok. Main course, the plates arrived well decorated but empty and only after about 10 minutes the actual food arrived. It contained sliced grilled meet, sautéed potatoes, some green beans, black beans and hollandaise sauce. The meet was COLD and the potatoes was with a strange texture, and finally the black beans were at least warm but very liquid. That dish was apparently famous there so at least two other tables had it as well, but for my surprise, the table to the left had that dish but their potatoes were totally different, they looked grilled and not sautéed and the other table were the same, so Apparently what was on my table was a left-over re-sautéed and served !!! An over all, the food always looked good, but it was not that good as it appeared. I'm not a person that sends the food back, I see it in a different way, the restaurant that accepts to serve their clients that kind of food, it's all about the image that they want to give...
Read moreHighly disappointing experience. It was a work arranged event for dinner in the evening. Portion control was inconsiderate and food unidentifiable (see first photo), the platter was for 4-6 people, so why bring a single egg item? In mixed platters there should be at least one item per person.
The main course i don't have a picture of, but for the meat it was cooked well, tender and tasty, served on a bed of puree potato, no veg and a gravy that was far too salty. Sadly there was no portion control here, and a 50Kg person was receiving a portion twice the size of a 120Kg person, and despite the fact a chef should not let it leave the kitchen like this, the likeable serving staff were not controlling who they gave portions to either.
The desert when served looked like the second picture, but when deconstructed looked like the third picture and was equally unpalatable.
Whilst saying on their fancy bottled tap water bottles that they were looking after the environment, they proceeded to serve coffee from individual portioned Nespresso capsules, for 60+ people.
For me, a sad waste of food.
The only reason this is 2 Star from me and not 1 Star is that the servers were friendly and polite.
A lá carte experience might be better, i have heard from others it is, but i'd not go...
Read moreTotally cheated!.. Worst meal in Braga. After a week of amazing food in Braga, we stumbled upon this place. We ordered a plate for 2 persons "Rice with lobster, shrimps and mussels", but they forgot the mussels. After asking about the mussels, they said they don’t have them fresh so that’s why they put extra shrimps (7 overcooked shrimps in total). There was no lobster, it was a bad translation from Portuguese to English in the menu. It was a type of king shrimp with almost no meat inside. Bad quality of rice, that was soaked in a fishy water, with no vegetables. It tasted simply wrong. They charged us 45 euros for that dish, even though it was not what we ordered. Extremely disappointed of that place. The waiter was really nice and...
