The pastels de nata are perfect. Flaky crust that manages to be chewy at the same time , sweet enough but not too sweet. Rich, satisfying, and feels nourishing. As soon as I finished, all I wanted was to eat more of them but I waited until the next day to have another , and the day after that and so on for the duration of my trip to Braga. I tried one from another shop down the street and the experience was completely different in that before I even finished, I had a sugar headache and felt ill. I stopped by tonight for my daily fix and they were closed. I'm not sure I'll survive until they open...
