There are several locations of this chain: two in central Lisbon and one in Cascais. The website is well organised. To book you reach a central reservation and name your location choice. This location is worth the view. Choice of outside or two floors. The outside has only 5-6 tables at this time so make sure you mention your preference when reserving a table. Weekends are busy. The buffet choices are served to you rather than you going to central area to serve yourself.
We have visited here 5 times to date both at lunch and dinner.
We felt that the concept is one of good value if you are in the mood to eat lots of fish and seafood. However, the quality of the fish and seafood is average and none we have tasted to date - on the buffet menu - combine the use of condiments. The 'a la carte' choice value/quality is ok, though not memorable - not our favourite in this area of Cascais where budget eateries are no ubiquitous (try Setubal, Matosinhos (Porto area) , Ericeira, Peniche and more).
The service is far from good, and getting a waiter's attention can be a challenge (especially outside) and when busy. We have left this place considering whether it was worth it after all, instead opting for one main dish that is well served and better flavoured.
The 3 buffet (rodízio) choices are: FISH - 5 kinds: Turbot, Sea-bream, grouper, salmon (likely farmed Atlantic) and squid. It includes a very average tasting mild fish soup plus dessert for around 21 eu (you can re-order soup/ fish). MISTO: combines fish with prawns and clams: This is a non re-order option for around 24 eu and minimum of TWO PERSONS are required.. MARISCO: For 29 eu (MIN 2 PERSONS/ can reorder). Includes prawns (either boiled or garlic style) as well as crustaceans (not lobster), Oysters, clams, mussels, Whelk, and barnacles (these latter can be weapons if you are not careful - without experience in handling them you can squirt your opposite! A salad is offered also.
*Drinks, butter/bread sardine paste, etc., is extra to above.
Overall it's a well conceived operation with 3 restaurant choices. Seafood can be expensive in Portugal if you order any of these options SEPARATELY. If you want to experience seafood at a prime location on this coast , this fills that category. On the other hand, for an occasion to savour a gourmet 'edge' to Portuguese gastronomy there are many options in this area albeit at a...

Read moreA colleague and I were looking for a suitable place to dine, and our attention was drawn to this restaurant due to its high score and numerous reviews on Google. It seemed like a safe and cozy choice, especially with the view of the bay. The appetizer met our expectations, but unfortunately, the main course, the cod fish, was unbelievably salty. It was so salty that it was impossible to eat, and I even became concerned about my health if I continued eating it. My colleague ordered the same dish and experienced the same excessive saltiness. We sought assistance from the manager and explained that it was genuinely too salty to consume. However, his response was far from customer-friendly; he claimed that the dish was supposed to be that way. In response, I expressed my doubts, as it was genuinely inedibly salty. The plates were removed without further communication, my colleague was even instructed to place his utensils on the plate, and the menus were placed back on our table. No apologies were offered, and the manager behaved quite rudely.
In the end, we opted for the grilled salmon, which fortunately was better. However, given the number of positive reviews, I don't quite understand why. Firstly, it seems the restaurant does not handle dissatisfied customers well. Secondly, the price-quality ratio is not in balance, considering the prices they charge for the quality one would expect. We decided not to have dessert and settled the bill. It can happen anywhere that a dish doesn't meet your expectations, which is understandable. However, what can set a restaurant apart is how it handles negative customer experiences. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet our expectations of hospitality.
I later learned that cod fish should be manually desalted, which might have been overlooked in...
