Terrazza Cascais — Restaurant in Cascais

I went to Terrazza Cascais Portuagal Wednesday 5th July 2017 after reading reviews ordered French loin ( Steak ) as it was advertised fat free as I'm watching my weight it comes with a side so I got roasted stuffed potatoe it arrives and it looks the business the potatoe is very small even for a side, I eat it and it is very nice so on that I returned Sunday afternoon 1.00pm with a friend I order the same dish as does my friend on my recommendation. The food arrives and you can see that for 1, it is very small not the intended weight advertised and I can see my friends piece has so much fat on it i didn't say anything to him about it as he detests fat and grizzle by the time he reluctantly picked round it there was at least one and a half table spoons of fat on his and about 2 desert spoons of fat on mine the potatoes were under cooked ( HARD ) NOT NICE AT ALL THIS WAS SUNDAY 9TH JULY 2017. Told the waitress I was not satisfied and it was false advertising she was a dark skinned girl who could speak perfect English very nice and polite and very apologetic yes but she is only employed there No manager working i asked her to show this to the chef and say what I said, I did have to ask the waitress again what was the outcome as she didn't return to me with any info and the place was empty as it was early. The chef apparently told her that different animals have different variations of fat. YES CHEF BUT YOU WOULD AT LEAST THINK THAT YOU WOULD HAVE TRIMMED THE FAT OFF AND TRY TO DISGUISE IT IF YOU HAD HALF A BRAIN. I say to the waitress I should not be paying full price for this rubbish but all she could say is I'm so sorry this cost me €32 What a waste of money I will not be going back there again and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anybody again plus there not on the ball service is very slow not even an offer of reduced price, a voucher or a kiss my arse DISGRACEFUL IN...

We had 2 visits to this place, I would put 5/5 if we didn't come back for another meal. The staff is friendly and kind.

Ribs - delicious, tender Fish - huge portion, i loved it Sausage - lovely snack, would eat it again Salad with meat - a bit pricey, yet the meat was very well made

Bread snack - part of the bread was scorching hot, the middle was frozen. It wasn't heat it up properly

The burger deserves a dedicated paragraph. It's one of the worst burgers I ever tried in my life. It even looks like it woke up with a hangover and someone sat on it. I'd rather have a dry airport cheese sandwich than this. The bun was stale and dry, the cutlet was well done, however I asked for rare. There is a chance of a miscommunication, yet I think I was clear I wanted rare burger cutlet... The burger came without cheese but it was written on the menu it's without cheese - my mistake. Perhaps the chef had a bad day,...

Quite a horrible entrance up the stairs reminds me of a multi storey car park but don't let that put you off. Place was empty but then we arrived at 7pm so expected that (most restaurants open at 7pm here). We all really enjoyed our steaks which were cooked correctly and tasted good. Don't order the sweet potato side they are basically uk crisps - freshly cooked mind but not great with steak. We had booked in advance the same day using tripadvisor / fork and got a 30% discount on our meal. This made a meal of three decent steaks with a couple of sides and starters come to under 70 euros including a round of drinks which we felt was fantastic value.
