This was really a disaster and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. We were with a group of five and all of us were extremely dissatisfied. The food was terrible and the staff was rude and uninterested. It all started when we sat down and made an order. We wanted to keep it simple and ordered three hamburgers with cheese and fench fries. The waiter immediatly made a remark in a condescending manner, “happy meals for you” he said, while being dissatisfied with our choice. The tone in which he said this was unacceptable. The other two of the five ordered chicken puri puri. We waited about 40 minutes for a simple meal to get prepared, only to receive the same snarly remark from the same waiter stating our “happy meals” and to be disappointed with five very dry meals which were partially burned as well. I am unable to comprehend how someone can mess up such simple dishes. The french fries were dry, the burgers and chicken were burnt and inedible. When we signaled for the (same) waiter to come he signaled back that he is on his way and then just continued to clean up some tables and walked around the restaurant as if we never asked for him. After about 20 minutes he finally decided to show up at our table. We made our complaint and the waiter advised us he would come back with his manager. When we made the same complaint to the manager, he came back with a meager response that they prepared the meat on “charcoal”. I suppose he meant that the food was prepared on BBQ-style. However, I have had plenty of BBQ-food prepared by myself or others and never ended up with such a disaster. How can a restaurant like thus exist while providing such terrible food and service? I have no idea. In the end we just had to pay for the water and hamburgers as the chicken was not eaten, being even burned worse than the burgers. We ate up the burgers as we were extremly hungry after a long day. In short, an incomprehensible disaster of a restaurant. Total NO-GO for me.

After some frustrated dinner attempts (slow table service, restaurants that didn't accept card payment etc.) during Estoril nighttime, we decided to give Flamingo a try, since the host who answered the clients in the outside area was quite polite and inviting. We opted to sit inside, since there was a lot of loud music from other places in the outside space. It more or less 5 minutes to be answered by the waiter and get the menu, and 5 more for him to get our order. The drinks came really fast, I ordered a beer mug and my wife ordered a lemonade, which came in some sort of "self-service" layout: a glass with pure juice and a bottled water so my wife could dilute it the way she wanted. We really enjoyed it, since it's way more hygienical (since we know the water used in the lemonade came from a sealed bottled water, not directly from the tap). Our dishes arrived less than 10 minutes later. I ordered a fillet steak in Porto wine sauce (with fries) and my wife ordered a traditional cod with cream. According to her, it was the best cod with cream she had so far (I'm not a big fan of the dish so I can't give my input). It even had green olives on it, which are her favorites. My steak was quite tasteful as well, the meat was very tender and the sauce was on point, I could even taste a little bit of curry on it, which was great since I like it a lot. The only remark I'd give is about the size of it. For the price charged (19,90 €) I think it should be a little bigger piece. The waiter didn't take long to get us the check, which made our experience even better. Very quick service, good food and reasonable price (considering it's a tourist region). Highly recommend the place.

My family was touring the area on our first day when jet lag and hunger began to set in for my wife. After looking at a few menus in the area, we chose this restaurant because the wife hanger was at a boiling point. After order the grilled octopus, steak fillet with mushroom sauce, kid’s nuggets, and kid’s margarita pizza, I checked Google maps to find a 3.0 rating. It was too late at this point and I had just hoping for the best. The waiter was kind and tried to make my kids laugh with little fan fare. When the food arrived I was pleasantly pleased with my octopus. The initial bite had a taste that it may have not been fresh but I may also contribute that taste to me not used to the flavours here because it went away and I enjoyed my meal. My wife’s steak was tender and cooked to her liking. Unfortunately the streak looked more like it was boiled than grilled because there was no sear or crust. The kids enjoyed their meals, with the fries needing plenty of additional salt. I’d give this place a 3.8 rating. I didn’t mind it but wouldn’t be my first choice. It sucked that the patio and interior tables aren’t separated much, especially if the people outside are smoking. Luckily, we had just paid the bill when the table outside with the smoker lit it up.

Probably the worst experience I've had in a restaurant. We came in with a baby in a pram and the staff were horrible to us from the offset. The staff berated us several times through our incredibly quick service about having a child. When feeding the baby a bottle the staff yelled at us for having him in my lap instead of in a child seat. We pleaded with them to just let us finish feeding the baby before having him sitting upright in a baby chair but they continued to yell. The staff kicked the baby chair every 5 seconds. We were the only ones inside the restaurant and there was loads of space so there was no reason for them to be doing that. They then yelled at us while we were putting him in the pram when leaving saying that it might get in the way in their completely empty restaurant. We weren't blocking anything, there was so much space! We were literally on our way out and they were still being aggressive and hostile to us. Anyway the food was just ok. They cleared away our plates while we were still eating. Basically in and out in about 30 minutes (this was for dinner). Just stay away from here unless you want to spend your evening being accosted by the wait staff and be pushed out the door before you've even eaten your food or had any of...
