Taberna da Praça — Restaurant in Cascais

The restaurant has a nice outdoor area very friendly and elegant the inside was likewise, however the waiter welcomed us in a very impatient manner as we walked in by telling us " right...there's no tables available outside..." no hello or good evening or at least eye contact. We then said that we would actually like to seat inside to which she replied saying "...okay, whatever you would like..." still no eye contact until she took our order but not friendly at all still very dull.

During the meal we were serve by other staff members who completely changed our experience, they were very polite, friendly and professional. The food was absolutely amazing so was the wine. Nice atmosphere, very calm. Despite that particular waiter I can recommend this restaurant and I would also return for another meal but not be served by someone...

We had a reservation for 8 PM, but our table wasn’t ready when we arrived. Since we had our dog with us, we chose to sit outside. Unfortunately, a DJ was blasting extremely loud techno music until 8:45 — not really what you expect when you come for dinner. We were hoping for a relaxed evening, not a mini rave.

When the music finally stopped, they missed the chance to create a nice vibe with some background lounge music, leaving the atmosphere flat. We weren’t the only ones disappointed — several other guests were also complaining.

The food was decent, but the service really lacked warmth and attention. It felt like hospitality wasn’t a priority.

It’s a beautiful place with a lot of potential, but they really need to work on the basics: atmosphere and...

O lugar é maravilhoso, estamos hospedados no hotel e resolvemos jantar por indicação da recepção nesse restaurante. Infelizmente fomos recebidos de uma forma hostil, como uma falta de hospitalidade e educação que nunca havia vivenciado. Assim que chegamos nos dirigimos a garçonete pedindo informações sobre o local; ela nos indicou o cardápio que ficava em frente a entrada e saiu. Resolvemos então procurar uma mesa, já que a mesma não nos falou absolutamente nada. Assim que sentamos ela veio e pediu para sairmos da mesa porque estava reservada, ficamos constrangido e saímos notando que não havia nenhuma indicação de reserva sobre a mesa. Meu marido educadamente foi atrás da garçonete para pedir informações, porque ela novamente nos mandou sair e sumiu. Indagados pela situação. Ela nos respondeu de uma maneira pouco convincente, ríspida e fazendo pouco caso. Já estávamos um pouco impaciente e aborrecidos com toda a situação e nos retiramos indignados do local. Trabalhamos na área comercial e o básico para um atendimento qdo se chega a um local é : BOA NOITE, NOS APRESENTAR O LOCAL E FUNCIONAMENTO, A PRIMEIRA IMPRESSÃO É TUDO. SOMOS BRASILEIROS, ESTAMOS VIAJANDO DE FERIAS POR ALGUMAS CIDADES PRÓXIMAS, SEMPRE QUE viajamos a Portugal ficamos hospedados no PESTANA DE CASCAIS, nos sentimos muito bem. Por um motivo interno fomos transferidos para o COLLECTION PESTANA, um lugar excelente, atendimento maravilhoso, mais infelizmente o mesmo não aconteceu com seu restaurante que se classifica 5 ⭐. Qdo viajamos procuramos estar o mais confortável possível, não usamos sapato ALTO..Somos pessoas que trabalhamos muito para desfrutar férias aqui, e não aceito ser atendida dessa maneira, de forma grosseiro. Não se deve já mais julgar uma pessoa pela aparência, pq nem sempre é o que parece. Peço desculpas por me alongar tanto na crítica, mais a situação me deixou muito triste, mais não estragou nossa noite. Procuramos outro local na qual fomos muito bem atendidos e satisfeitos. A PRIMEIRA IMPRESSÃO É A QUE FICA, E NÃO RETORNAREMOS MAIS A TABERNA...
