We had dinner here as a group of eight. Although the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, the overall experience left much to be desired.
We ordered a variety of starters including bao buns, kimchi, and karaage chicken. Everything was just okay, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend the bao buns — instead of the soft, fluffy texture you’d expect, they were more like pita bread, and seemed like they’d been microwaved straight from the freezer.
Unfortunately, service was the weakest point of the evening. Our silverware was cleared while we were still eating, incorrect drinks were brought over multiple times, and there were mix-ups with our food orders. It felt like a combination of the restaurant still finding its footing and a language barrier — our server had a strong Indian accent which made communication a bit difficult for some of us.
As for the mains, the chicken curry had a nice flavor, but the chicken itself was quite dry.
The highlight of the evening was the atmosphere — the space is beautifully decorated and well lit, creating a great ambiance. We’re planning to give it another try in a month or so, hoping things will have improved as the team settles in.
One very important note: the restaurant only accepts Portuguese bank cards — no foreign Visa or Mastercards. This is extremely inconvenient in a tourist-heavy area, and should have been communicated clearly...
Read moreI had the absolute pleasure of dining at Buga Ramen Cascais, and let me just say—what an experience! From the moment we walked in, everything hit just right. The atmosphere is cozy and vibrant, with a welcoming vibe that immediately sets the tone for a great meal.
Now, onto the star of the show: the food. Simply put, incredible. Every dish was packed with flavor, cooked to perfection, and beautifully presented. The ramen was rich, satisfying, and absolutely hit the spot—my belly was full and happy by the end of it. The portions are generous, so come hungry!
The drinks were equally impressive, with a well-curated selection that pairs beautifully with the food. Whether you're into something refreshing or a bit stronger, they've got you covered.
Service? Top-notch. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about the food, which made the whole experience even better.
All in all, Buga Ramen Cascais is a gem. Amazing food, great drinks, excellent service, and a warm atmosphere—definitely coming back. Highly...
Read moreWe had dinner here tonight and really enjoyed the overall vibe. The restaurant has a cool concept with neon lights, bold decor, Japanese art, and even a robot that brings food to your table. It felt like a mini trip to Japan.
The staff was friendly and welcoming. We ordered the teriyaki ramen, unagi donburi, and pork ramen. The ramen was solid and definitely hit the spot. The teriyaki ramen had good flavor, although the chicken pieces had some bones and other unsavory parts, which was a little off-putting. they even gave us a little bib to put on which was a nice touch.
The kimchi was great. It was spicy with a nice ginger kick. The mochi, on the other hand, was way too tough. It couldn’t be cut with a spoon and had to be eaten by hand. Honestly, it was the hardest mochi I’ve ever had.
Overall, it's a fun place with a unique atmosphere and decent food. Worth checking out if you're craving ramen and want something a...
