Deck-Bar — Restaurant in Cascais

Esplanade is nice, and the staff are attentive (until we got charged for something we hadn´t eaten at the end of the meal) . Food is only OK but nothing special. I suppose the prices are normal for Estoril which is to say about 45 Euros for two adults and a child with wine. This is about 10 euros or so over equivalent Lisbon prices. The thing that is annoying though it that they appeared to charge us for two coffees we never drank. The waiter became very scarce when we were trying to attract him to discuss the bill. They agreed they´d made a mistake, but at the next table it seemed they´d also been charged for something they had not eaten. Also we asked them not to bring bread and they did anyway and charged us for that. It´s possible that two mistakes had been made but I would be very careful about checking your bill if...

Well this restaurant is in a good localization and seems it is great in good weather days to just stay outsider and have some drinks. My classification goes for the awfully staff! Until the point were I was recommended to change table, from restaurant to coffee area, it is everything fine. The problem is to change table and wait for the employees (at some point there were two or three outside) and no one comes to you for more than 15min. Just standing, chatting and seeing the football match in the TV (as the photo shows). Great job guys! Keep going! Just not with me...

Good hearty fare, chose the lamb stew (the days special) reminded me of going into back street Cafe's in Mallorca when I was a 10 year old kid with my father. The taste was wonderful and so full of flavour that only a lovely rustic stew can offer. Was very quiet and as we left another lot of customers arrived. The waiter was very pleasant and enthusiastic and he said the lamb was amongst his favourites as well. Last time I was in Estoril was when I was 10 and that was 50 years ago...Nice to be back and to eat such...
