Really friendly staff! Spontaneous & helpful people. This place definitely oozes possitivity. The young waitress speaks fluent English and French, as well as Portugese. We enjoyed a selection of small traditional dishes here that were very tasty (the octopus & shrimp were plain marvellous)! They also serve plenty of vegetarian options & on request the cook can whip up a vegan meal too. We were served a giant piece of chocolate cake for desert, that was very nice & very chocolatey :-) Alongside, we ordered a pitcher of red sangria, richly filled with lots of berries and other fresh fruit. Read moreI visited here two days in a row, and went there twice on the second day - it's a lovely little place to go, have a coffee/juice and eat. The staff are warm, and the woman who seemed most in charge was so warm and I was always greeted with a lovely smile which made me feel really welcome. I'll miss coming here very much, and hope to come again to enjoy food & drink the next time I am in Faro - and I hope that it will be soon because I know I'll miss them there at Botequim da Baixa.

Read moreWent there for brunch as a couple. Bought the brunch menu in which coffee was included. When asked what kind of coffee we wanted we chose a cappuccino each. At the end they charged us for the brunch and two full cappuccini. Said they weren't included in the brunch offer. Could have mentioned that up front maybe? They made no offer to compensate.
