Italian Republic Faro — Restaurant in Faro

We had a reservation at 21:00 and arrived at 20:45. The waiter was friendly and the food arrived shortly after ordering. It was very good but also very small portions. We wanted to order a dessert and another main course because we were still hungry.

But no one cared anymore. Our initial waiter never came back. We then asked a waitress that was already packing up the tables outside to bring us the menu again so that we could order more. She gave us the menu but then went back to packing tables right besides while ignoring us. After some time we decided we just want to pay and get out.

Of course, we had to go and tell the waitress that we want to pay. I mean why would she come back to our table after bringing us the menu? She then brought the bill and silently took the menu away from us again like it never happened.

So, if you can, come earlier I guess. The staff prioritizes closing early instead of serving people within opening hours. Still disappointed that they didn't want our money. Went for some quick chicken nuggets and cheese...

Food was let down by the very measly amount and quality of the mozzarella on the caprese salad. Most often you get a ball of mozzarella, in this case the cheese was cut into small pieces - maybe a quarter of a ball. That said the rest of the food was delicious - we both had seafood pasta, the portions were not huge, which was great for us as we tend to waste food. We shared the profiteroles - they too were delicious. The ambiance outside under the trees...

One of the best restaurants I habe ever been. The prices are extremely fair for the size of the portions, we had a burger wich comes with two sides of your choice we took fries and a mushroomrisotto wich both were deliciois! Just as good were de Caneloni with beefsauce and overbaked witch cheese. I would totally recommand...
