O Coreto — Restaurant in Faro

The egg burger was honestly disgusting. I forced myself to have more than 2 bites but honestly felt sick just thinking about it. I asked the waiter to change or re-do the dish and he was a bit hesitant to change it for me. I ended up getting a remake of the same dish but cheese was definitely plastic, meat was defimitely frozen, low quality and overall too oily. I kid you not, I went across the road to mc donalds for a better burger.

I cannot reply to the coment but as I said earlier.. when asked to change the dish, the waiter was hesitant and didnt want to change the dish. He said I already took a bite of the burger (yet, one must taste the food to understand their liking or not). Management did not do anything. And yes, after a few stares, the burger was remade (as mentioned previously) but again, took the 2 bites (and 1 from my boyfriend to taste) from the pictures below and left it aside and went to McDonalds. Your management team was no help. I understand your staff like the burger, but my review states that I had better and that this burger was hard to swallow. I hope you leave it at that and don’t try to protect your burger by insinuating other things/people were wrong. Pictures are very clear, and at least this was the pictures of the burger after I asked to grill the bread, grill the meat more (as it were barely cooked)...

Really impressed by this restaurant in particular with the friendly and professional staff.

We've walked past O Coreto many times of the years but have never gone in thinking that being in such a good location it may be expensive and not great for children. How wrong we were!

We stopped to have a look in when walking past recently, a waiter came over and seeing we had three young children including a buggy offered to get us a seat inside with some space around us.

The food was all top notch, they happily provided a couple of extra plates for the kids to share a couple of bigger dishes between them. Really good value as well, which was also surprising given the location, I paid a lot more for lunch in a pool bar the day before!

Overall it was the staff that made it, when the baby made a bit of a mess and I was down cleaning it up the staff were straight over telling me not worry about, all smiles, a gentleman who I believe was the owner or manger included.

We'll now make O Coreto a stop on our future days...

We visited the restaurant and ordered a chicken sandwich, chicken toastie, and cocktails. While the cocktails were good, the overall experience was disappointing. Despite only a few tables being occupied, we were rushed in with little welcome and left waiting over five minutes for a menu, no one acknowledged us, even after trying to get their attention, and we had to go to the bar to ask for one. The service felt inattentive and uninterested throughout. The chicken sandwich was terrible the bread was so hard it couldn’t be cut, and the taste was unpleasant. The toastie was very oily but just okay. No napkins, no ketchup, and no one came to check on us. After we finished eating, no one cleared the table, and we had to ask for the bill ourselves. Yet we still tipped them out of courtesy. Sadly, we also felt we were treated differently, which made the experience even more uncomfortable. Overall, not a place we...
