My wife and I had the most fantastic evening at this restaurant last night. It was an unusually balmy October evening so we were able to sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere of the busy quarter the restaurant is situated in. Even during these difficult times for restaurant and bar owners this restaurant wasn’t quiet. The food is traditional Portuguese with a modern twist and is served as sharing plates. You should order around 5 plates between 2 leaving room to share a sobromesa ( sweet). The wine list is short but exceptional! All the food we tried was exceptional from a simple plate of Scrambled Egg with Tomato through a sublime Pork Cheek served on local polenta, an amazing plate of cured meats, fresh sardine fillets. The two highlights were the Bachalau with Leeks and Rosti and the best for me was the Smoked Duck Breast with Algarvian Oranges! You have to try the desserts; just two on the menu but both awesome

We finished with coffee and local digestifs and a port wine on the house.

This is seriously on of the best restaurant experiences we have had for quite some time and I would certainly recommend a visit the next time you are in Faro.

Finally the prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food and the friendly and knowledgable service provided...

Hi all... We couldn't get into this place on Saturday because we required outside seating ....so we pre booked for Sunday..... WELL 8.30 arrived....and the table was reserved outside 👍. We had 2 draught beers....excellent. We ordered 4 tapas from the set menu.. plus bread and oil and olives.

Tapas.... Chroquettes.... Mussels.... Caramelized cheese Huge king prawns with lime.

We had a Portuguese rose wine which was crisp and fruity .

The 4 tapas arrived at different times which was good. I had the mussels in a tomato garlic sauce....very good ....just adored it. Also the chroquettes....very nice with a sauce. My wife had king prawns in a sauce and lime....to die for is the phrase I received. The cheese with grapes and nuts .....my wife loved....nothing left The service was very good....we never waited long for anything and attention to detail was good. We directed a few passing folk into the restaurant as we were by the Menu.😁

Can't fault tonight....well fed....well watered and looked after.....5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟.

We don't just give top marks....check my reviews....but if the restaurants have given great food and service...what more can you give.

Thanks for a lovely night...... John and Celia from...

Tapas to share as a meal is a great way to discover several of the typical local dishes that are served here. 4 dishes accompanied with bread and anchovy butter and two glasses of red wine with a dessert to share was more than filling enough for our dinner. And it set us back 60 euros. Lovely service and the atmosphere inside was also refreshing with a quirky combination of an old vaulted cellar like room filled with uptempo music. Loved it and we felt really sorry that they only had to open for us as we were the only customers for the night?! Maybe the fact that they are not on the main tourist thoroughfare is one of the reasons (as other lesser eateries in the main pedestrian street draw more customers) but we can only recommend diverting off the beaten track to...

This place was amazing. The service, food and atmosphere were all fantastic. The staff were welcoming and helpful from the minute we walked in. We asked for wine recommendations, which our waiter was glad to offer. There were three of us and we ordered from the tapas section. Very glad we did, as all the dishes were amazing! The caramelised chevre cheese was so different to any goats cheese dish I've ever had, and was delicious! The Algarve Picapau was divine (I'll definitely be trying to recreate when I'm home!) All of the staff are amazingly attentive, helpful and friendly. A superb place to have food, drinks and a pleasant time!
