Worst dining experience in Madeira! We had booked and arrived hoping to eat soon because we had 3 young hungry children with us. I had informed them when booking. The staff looked very busy but completely ignored us. We had 2 menus between 6 adults and no drinks menu at all. We decided what we would like because we sat there for almost 40 minutes. We had been very patiently waiting up until now. In this time 2 other couples were shown in and sat down, received menus, drinks and then even food ! The risotto was a bit better but much too salty and ingredients again not fresh. Very overpriced for...

This new place is a modern version of the old, with modern decor and inside and outside eating areas but the same excellent menu, wine list and top class food. The food outshines any of the more expensive places - we visited twice and had vegetable pasta and vegetariana pizza with a large (very large) mixed salad. We chose Papa Figo red wine from the Douro - really tasty - and finished with tiramisu. The staff are unfailingly friendly and prices excellent. Will be visiting again before we leave and regularly on our next...
