Recommended to me by a taxi driver as I was asking for the best pastry cafe in town. And it surely was the best during my 2-week holiday. Delicious Portuguese classics, both sweet and savoury. I go more for savory stuff, my husband is a sweet-tooth. My go-to things were shrimp or meat fried pastry (rissol de camarão ou carne). I only wish the cafe was some place else and not in front of a bus-stop, where all those stinky busses stop (Here is where I thought Funchal must ban those old hop-on-hop-off busses and allow only electric busses).

We needed brunch after a Madeira sunrise tour and this was a nice find. The toasted sandwiches were delicious, I asked for chicken and cheese, which wasn't on the menu but they made it for me anyway which was great. Our group also ordered the ham and cheese; tuna; prosciutto and cheese. All were really good. There cakes looked great too but unfortunately we were too full from the sandwiches. It's a short walk from the stunning Savoy Palace Hotel and Galaxia Sky Bar. Which are also worth checking out

This place is out of this world and definitely best patisserie/cafe in Funchal. Great choices of cakes and pastries plus some other food options like smoothie bowl, sandwitches. The place is always busy and majority of the guests are local- this attest to its quality. They even have a vegan cake- absolutely delicious. I've read other revies mentining staff being not well trained or not nice- we went there on a few occasions and that was never the case. Very good free WiFi.

Recently renovated place with excellent products! Diverse confectionery and very beautiful. We love having breakfast or a snack there. The toast is wonderful, the sweet bread is delicious, and the freshly squeezed orange juice is super fresh. Prices are cheap compared to other places on the island, and the quality is superior. We paid only 2.5€ for a natural orange juice.

We visited a bakery in Portugal and were impressed by their amazing selection of cakes, donuts, cheesecakes, and more. Everything looked fresh and delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly, taking the time to answer all our questions and making sure we had a great experience. Definitely a place to visit if you’re craving sweet treats and excellent service!

Cute Café close to the city of Funchal. There are tables inside and outside. Quit a lot Option for sweets (cakes, muffin, cookies), also in vegan and some salty options like sandwiches / bagels. This was the best passion fruit cheesecake I had in my life! Coffee was good, a bit too strong for my taste. Nice staff, more than fair prices and cute interior too!
