This Restaurant is by far the best we have been to in Madeira and one of the best fish Restaurants I have ever been to. On our 7-day vacation we were dining here 3 evenings and would have gone a forth time if tuesday had not been their day off 😁 The staff is very friendly and quick, the food is just perfect. We ordered a variety of dishes and every single one was just amazing. If you like a frish whole or half fish, they also have their daily catches displayed. If I had to recommend only one dish I would go for the octopus (and also take the Sangria, it is delicious 😉). We had high hopes for this fish restaurant, but our experience was a major disappointment. The food turned out to be rather ordinary, lacking any special flavors. The staff seemed intentionally vague, almost deceptive in their explanations, leaving us confused. Different staff members took our order and served the dishes, which made us unsure if we even received what we actually ordered. To top it off, both the menu and the waitress claimed that the side dishes were already included and only asked if we would like potatoes or vegetables, and yet they charged extra for the side dishes. Called to make a reservation of crab , made the reservation thought the fork app and due to airplane restrictions there was no first choice . The Portuguese employees where very hostil with the Portuguese costumers like always in this region . Despite this we decided to try the food anyway because the ambience is pleasant but is overpriced for the true quality and quantity.
