Take it as it is & the cafe is happy! Ask for any change and it's a disaster! My wife being lactose intolerant asked for no butter and no cheese in the club sandwich. After a 25 minute wait she got exactly what she said she did not want! Returned it & was served 10 minutes later with a dry sandwich with no oil/mayonaise as requested. Think they just scraped the cheese off, obviously not knowing what lactose intolerance means! Asked for a cold coffee on a hot day and explained how to do it. We get it in a cup and so strong as if it's a cheap brand of coffee.. No glass packed with ice to cool the hot coffee. I don't think they know what a cold coffee is, for a hot weather country??? Would have been less damaging to their reputation if they had said we don't serve it. My cafe fino toasted sandwich was looking neglected on it's ownsome in the plate. No salad or fries to make it appealing to look at. Think we will definitely abstain from going here. Shame as they've lost 2 round the year customers! After paying the bill and leaving the club sandwich uneaten the female staff expressed amazement as to why it had not been eaten. The tourists must find this place a notch above mediocrity to...
Read moreUnfortunately a very bad experience. We were a family of 4 (mom, dad, two teenage kids) who went for breakfast based on our son's desire for waffles and our daughter's desire for crepes.
I ordered an English Breakfast and it took about 40 minutes to arrive, and unfortunately it was the first meal to arrive. After waiting 5 minutes for the rest of the food to arrive for my family, my wife said to go ahead and eat it rather than letting it get cold. So I did, and I shared some with my family who were hungry, and by now we were all grumpy.
I was just about finished when my son's food arrived, and about 15 minutes later my son was just about finished his meal when my daughter's food arrived. It was like we had to eat one at a time. My wife's meal never arrived at all. About an hour and a half after we ordered our meal, and three of us were finished eating, my wife went to the counter and asked them to cancel her meal and bring us our bill.
THEY DID NOT KNOW THAT HER MEAL WAS NEVER COOKED OR BROUGHT TO HER.
We paid our bill for the 3 meals and went to a pastelaria so my wife could have a breakfast, and then got on with our day. Unfortunately it was a real mood-killer to...
Read moreGood food and a menu full of great options to choose from. Everything we ordered was very flavorful, and I especially loved that the coffees — even the ones with syrup — weren’t overly sweet. Big plus for me.
I couldn’t decide what to get, so I went with both the oat pancakes (you can pick your own toppings) and the avocado toast. The pancakes were maybe a little dry for my taste — I usually prefer when the oats are mixed a bit more smoothly — but that’s just personal preference. Some people might actually love that texture, and overall they’re still worth trying.
As for the avocado toast, the guacamole had a bit too much lime for me. Every bite tasted strongly like lime, and personally, I love the natural flavor of avocado (I know, weird maybe — but that’s why I eat it, right?). Still, my friends really enjoyed it, so it’s definitely a matter of taste.
It’s a nice brunch spot with cozy seating and cute decor. A great place to relax and enjoy...
