Ashoka Indian Tandoori cuisine — Restaurant in Lagos

When we walked in we were greeted by a friendly young man who showed us to our table.First thing you notice is the cleanliness, then the simple decor with nice ambient indian rock/pop in the background. Immediately attentive, our server was discussing how we liked our food served and in particular our preference for spice and what level of heat to expect...he even brought a specimen taste for us to judge from...we ordered the tika masala ( very mild) the bhuna ( beautifully rounded spice - medium) and the garlic chilli chicken ( medium hot which my wife adored) with their specialfried rice and garlic naan.. We have been lucky enough to enjoy food from many places in many countries over the years and this ranks right up with the best...fresh, flavoursome and that lovely "roundmouth" heat ...highly recommended...and the super bok on draft was in itself a great...

We had such a wonderful experience at Ashoka Indian Tandoori Cuisine during our holiday in Lagos, Algarve. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome with their kind and attentive service.

We started with a cup of the most comforting masala chai- beautifully spiced and honestly the best we’ve had. The food that followed was just as incredible: mixed grill, saag paneer, paneer chilli masala, madras chicken, rice, garlic naan, and papadoms. Every dish was packed with rich, authentic flavour and cooked to perfection.

The warm atmosphere, delicious food, and lovely service made this meal a real highlight of our trip. We left happy, full, and it truly felt like home. Highly recommend to anyone...

Went here for Sunday lunch with my daughter, it was around 1PM, this is a very nice restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. Only another couple was there having lunch. The service was very nice and so is the restaurant.

As for the food, I think they could do better. The Samosa seemed to have been freshly made, however it did not have the flavor profile typical to samosas that I am accustomed to. Also the biryani wasn't typical to what I am accustomed. For those who are familiar with Lipton's packaged rice / pasta with flavorings, the biryani closer to Lipton's Spanish Rice with chicken.
