Palacio Da China — Restaurant in Lagos

Terrible "Chinese" food but some of the only Chinese food available in town which is probably why they get away with such bad service.

They seem to ignore Chinese customers and go only to white men. That was our experience. We sat for a very long time at a table and the male server who seated us only went and helped other men. The restaurant only had 2 other tables occupied. We tried getting his attention multiple times. Once he just dismissively waved us off! Instead he went to take orders for take-away male customers (all foreigners), over and over, all came in after us. When we tried to give our order to the female server she went and got the boy, but he looked at us, made eye contact, shrugged, and walked away. After trying so many times to place an order, we walked out. If we really want Lagos-style Chinese, we will go back to Peiking around the corner instead.

The food looks horrible here anyway. Not real authentic Chinese food at all. For gweilos...

Excellent service but so many wrongs

Very bad quality rice (rice is THE most important basic to nail for Asian food) Food came out so hot it burnt my tongue and was uneatable for 15 minutes Very poor quality cooked chicken - was anemic and almost seemed boiled. Price mediocre - could eat very good quality for the same price in Lagos The red LEDs have a constant dim flicker which hurt my eyes Most food was very bland & unsalted. Not a single authentic Asian spice/flavour I tasted

Tasted like every other American Chinese buffet food place ever made. I want REAL chinese food, not fake...

As a family of 5, on holiday nearby, we decided to come to this Chinese Restaurant instead of the buffet style one very close by and I'm so glad we did. The staff were very friendly, I'd noticed there were locals in celebrating a birthday occasion which was lovely to see but also made me think it must be good if the locals use this restaurant and I wasn't wrong... Our food tasted amazing, freshly cooked, so tasty, better than our Chinese back in the UK and at a fantastic price aswell. I would definitely return and definitely recommend a visit here for fresh tasty...
