O.M.G! This place is so good. Excellent atmosphere! Excellent service! Exquisite food! And all that at a very reasonable price!!!

We heard about As Salgadeiras in a video blog made by @suitcasemonky. We wanted some good seafoods and a place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were very happy with our choices.

We ordered more food than we could eat because we were having trouble making up our minds and we wanted to try everything. Our bill would have been under €100 if we had not gotten carried away with so many dished and skipped the bottle of wine.

I ordered the grilled octopus Sailor Style and my wife ordered the fillet minion Portuguese Style. We were both very happy. My octopus was hands down the best I have ever had. Perfect texture and such an excellent flavor! The gravy was like icing on a cake. The chef is...

Very late dinner, place is busy and had to wait for 15 min to get a table. Staff very effective, polite and friendly. The couvert is chargeable, but is absolutely worth it (the tuna mousse especially!). Asked for wine by glass recommendation and was not disappointed. Starter of cured ham with honeydew was delicious. Main course of Black pork and Portuguese sausage with mash potato was excellent - the meat tender, the sausage falling apart and even the mash potatoes had a lot of seasoning and were a delight. Steak with Roquefort sauce was ordered medium, more to the well done level, but was juicy, tender and of outstanding meat quality. Delicious as well. The portions are absolutely humongous, we were really hungry, but did not finish the entire plates, next time I would skip the starter honestly :) Prices are very reasonable for this fine-dining experience. We visited on June 24th, on the last day of our honeymoon, and I can confidently say we ended our trip on a high note! We had a reservation for an hour later, but arrived early, which was no problem at all. From the very beginning, we were extremely well taken care of, especially by our waiter Luís, who was both friendly and professional.

The restaurant’s atmosphere and the food were flawless — generous portions, everything served with great care. But we’d particularly like to highlight Luís’ outstanding service, from helping us choose the wine, to advising on the right number of dishes to order, and his excellent recommendation of the cod trilogy.
