I guess it was just serendipitous that my rumbling stomach and wandering brought me to this establishment. We had dropped off our luggage at an AirBnb and were frantically running around searching for lunch options (on Google Reviews) before being overtaken by hunger. Just when we were about to give up, after dejectedly turning away from a number of other establishments that didn't really seem to fit the bill, we saw a fairly bustling, unassuming neighborhood eatery that appeared to be popular with the local crowd. The server didn't speak (any) English, but with the help of some charade-like gesturing, we managed to secure a seat outside. It took a while to actually see the menu, which we then had to translate with our phones, but looking at what was being brought out to others' tables, it seemed promising and we were in high hopes. Between the fumes of smoke wafting over from the table beside ours, we finally placed our order and sat back to wait for the feast. It was really a pleasant surprise! We sat inside and the server actually did speak English very well. We were not disappointed that time either, save for the unavailability of a specific item from the menu of the day, but I suppose that gives us some reason to look forward to coming back some day. Já na rua estava a fazer as contas com a minha colega e dei por mim a pensar que pagar 2.55€, por uma garrafa de agua é um absurdo. Enfim, assim se...
