Cova Funda — Restaurant in Lisbon

I'm guessing it's a nice place to eat at for the locals, but they like to scam tourists.

For example, they wrote on a HANDWRITTEN check that we had coffee, which we didn't. When confronted, they said "no, no, that's the price of the takeaway" (because we couldn't finish our food and asked it to be packed). First time someone charged me for the takeaway. We quickly understood what they were doing so we just let them. The icing on the cake was when, at the end, the owner gave us 3 shots of ginja liqueur "on the house", but I noticed on the receipt that he already counted it in the price.

Honestly, it's still cheap and the food seemed alright. It's just that I don't like dishonesty. I would have gladly paid the full price and even a bit more and walked out happy if only they were upfront and transparent about the money. I prefer to eat where I feel valued as a customer and not be seen just as a dumb tourist to be exploited.

Also, no one is dumb, we see when you exploit us, it's just that we let you because that is your shame and we don't want to argue...

Pratos do dia variam mas repetem todas as semanas. Volta e meia algumas falhas a nível de frescura de produtos servidos e de higiene . Queixas ou críticas construtivas não são bem recebidas pelo gerente. Aumentaram preços! Reduziram quantidade é qualidade. A formação do proprietário,é constatada pela forma como respondeu à crítica e como se dirige ao cliente, apelidando-o de"personagem. " (Ver foto do ecrã). E não foram raras as vezes que roçou a falta de urbanidade. Fotos retratam toda a crítica excepto, o penúltimo parágrafo. Há o direito de reclamar se a sopa ao fim do dia está com jeito de azedar, (ou acabou e é de ontem), se os fritos estão empapados em óleo, se os panados são do próprio dia e há quantos dias a fritadeira usa o mesmo óleo! Nos quedamos un par de días en Lisboa y de paseo por el barrio nos recomendaron probar este restaurante. Acertaron 100%. Por fuera no aparenta lo bueno que es.
