It was a warm Friday afternoon in Lisbon, and the city was buzzing with its usual charm and vibrancy. My friends and I had planned an exciting get-together at Dois Corvos Taproom, a renowned spot in the heart of Marvila. Joining me were my local friends from Lisbon, who had been raving about the place for months, and friends from Haarlem in the Netherlands, who were eager to experience Lisbon’s burgeoning craft beer scene.
As we arrived at Dois Corvos, we were immediately struck by the taproom’s inviting ambiance. The industrial-chic decor, with its exposed brick walls and wooden furnishings, set the perfect stage for our afternoon. We found a cozy spot with ample space for our group, both inside the taproom and outside on the sunny patio.
The real magic began when we started exploring the beer menu. The selection was impressive, showcasing a variety of styles that catered to every palate. We decided to start with a flight of beers, allowing us to sample a range of flavors. The staff, who were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their craft, guided us through the options. They provided detailed descriptions of each beer’s profile, sharing fascinating insights into the brewing process. Their enthusiasm was infectious, making our experience all the more enjoyable.
Among the beers we tried, the flagship IPA stood out with its perfect balance of hoppy bitterness and fruity undertones. Our friends from Haarlem, accustomed to the rich beer culture of the Netherlands, were particularly impressed. Another favorite was the barrel-aged stout, a rich and complex brew that delighted our taste buds with its depth and character.
To complement the beers, we indulged in the taproom’s selection of finger foods. The artisanal cheese platter was a hit, offering a delightful array of flavors that paired beautifully with the beers. We also enjoyed other snacks, each crafted with care and attention to detail. It was clear that the culinary offerings were designed to enhance the beer-tasting experience, and they did not disappoint.
As the afternoon unfolded, we found ourselves immersed in lively conversations and laughter. The welcoming atmosphere of Dois Corvos, coupled with the excellent service and outstanding beer, created the perfect backdrop for our gathering. The staff’s knowledge about the brewing process added an educational element to our visit, making it more than just a casual drink session—it was a journey into the world of craft beer.
Before we knew it, the sun was beginning to set, signaling the end of our delightful afternoon. We left Dois Corvos Taproom with a newfound appreciation for Lisbon’s craft beer scene and memories that would last a lifetime. Our friends from Haarlem were already planning their next visit, eager to explore more of what Dois Corvos had to offer.
In conclusion, our visit to Dois Corvos Taproom was a highlight of our time in Lisbon. The combination of great company, exceptional beers, and delicious finger foods made for an unforgettable experience. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, Dois Corvos Taproom is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to enjoy quality craft beer in a...
Read moreI'm afraid I need to write a negative review as a warning to tourists since I was the attempted victim of a potential tourist scam (as a local) while leaving Dois Corvos in late August 2025 around 21.15.
The reason I say this is a tourist scam is because the lady I will mention ( to my best recollection) said that she speaks French, English and Portuguese which implies a lot.
As I was leaving Dois Corvos, I took out my phone and looked up my way home on google maps (although this is irrelevant since I was never in any position to take photos). I found my way and started walking to the metro. A female beggar on the corner of the street -- to the right relative to the Dois Corvos door -- there asked me for money which I ignored since honestly, I wasn't paying attention.
She started blocking my way which I tried to avoid, and then started screaming that I took photos of her and to delete them (which I had not and because she was behind a car at all times I had my phone out. There was no point at all where I had my phone out where she could have seen me). Then this lady tried to take items out of my front shirt pocket and my hip pocket which I prevented.
Her back-up arrived (it was an older man), and they both screamed that I give them my phone (which I refused). I could not continue home so I went back to Dois Corvos and told the member of staff there to immediately call the police.
I showed the member of staff that all I had in my gallery were some Azulejos (the response of this lady was: "HE CLEARLY DELETED THE PHOTOS"), and I told her: "laissez moi passer" and gave her the finger, which seemed to make these people go away.
I went home safely making sure I wasn't followed.
I would recommend that neither tourists or locals come to the area of Martin Moniz and Intendente: the area is clearly dangerous...
Read moreNot up to my high expectations.. Fairly quiet when we visited. Staff friendly and helpful (good English spoken) ...but failed to spot my Dois Corvos crow-funding t-shirt. 😞 Tried 3 NEIPA beers ; one excellent, one OK, one smelled of diesel oil.. Not a huge food menu, burgers were good (appeared fresh not frozen beef), pork bao buns very spicy and meat inedible. Worth a visit; nice atmosphere but has a long way to go to catch up with the likes of Brewdog. Shame 'cos I love their canned beers despite the...
