A hidden gem in terms of excellent Portuguese sweets. We walked in from the street and we're met by a wide variety of traditional sweets including the very delicious pastéis de nata, and some original variations of them. My favorite was the half chocolate covered pastéis de nata! I will most definitely come back to search for this next time I am in Lisbon! Read moreWe found this place thanks to the location of our hotel (it was very close).. and how lucky we were! My husband and I had coffee and sweets several times and we loved it. They are fast, so friendly, the sweets are delicious, and the lunch we had the last day was amazing!! I definitely recommend the Codfish.. they serve it with salad and a special kind of french fries. It is the best one I've tried so far in Portugal. Besides, it is cheap for the quality of the food.

They always made me feel welcome and I even learned to order in Portuguese. Whenever I am feeling down or lonely I would go there to get the sense of being welcomed.
